Sancho wants to move to Juventus this summer. |
Italian media unanimously confirmed that the "Red Devils" accepted a transfer fee of 25 million euros, much lower than the 85 million euros they spent to recruit the player from Dortmund in 2021. According to Corriere dello Sport , Sancho also agreed to join Juventus this summer.
Juventus are reportedly negotiating a four-year contract with Sancho, with a salary of around €7 million per season (equivalent to €135,000 per week). However, the former Borussia Dortmund star's income will be significantly reduced compared to the €290,000 per week he currently earns at Old Trafford.
The deal could be completed in the next few days, but there are still issues to be resolved, especially personal terms. However, Sancho's willingness to take a pay cut to join Juventus shows that he is determined to move to Serie A.
Sancho was once a promising talent but a big disappointment. After returning to Manchester United from a season on loan at Chelsea, the English player was not in the plans of new coach Ruben Amorim, thereby having to find a new destination.
This is a decision that MU did not want, but they have to face reality and find a way to take advantage of the proceeds to invest in other transfer targets, especially star Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
