This morning, June 25, trial operation of 168 wards and communes of the new Ho Chi Minh City

This morning (June 25), Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen will chair a trial operation and disseminate some contents related to the organization of the apparatus arrangement, preparing to organize the ceremony to announce the merger and establishment of new administrative units.

Also this morning, Ho Chi Minh City leaders will preside over and coordinate with leaders of Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces to deploy and pilot digital platforms serving two-level local governments in 168 wards, communes and special zones.

This is to enable the three localities to uniformly implement a number of contents, preparing to put all organizations, agencies, units at the city, ward, commune, and special zone levels of Ho Chi Minh City into operation after the merger from July 1.

The trial operation was connected from the main bridge at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to the headquarters of the People's Committees of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Duong provinces and 168 new bridge points of wards, communes and special zones.

This trial operation is according to the scenario of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center and is held simultaneously with the Conference to announce the adjustment of the Ho Chi Minh City master plan.

Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen will chair the trial operation.

After the trial operation, Mr. Nen will discuss and work with 168 wards, communes, and special zones on the results of the trial operation, the plan to organize the ceremony to announce the resolutions of the Central and local governments on merging administrative units, establishing Party organizations, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City and wards, communes, and special zones.

At the same time, thoroughly grasp some contents related to the arrangement and organization of the apparatus.

Previously, localities had conducted many trials of wards and communes on the system of each locality so that commune-level officials and civil servants could become familiar with administrative procedures after operating a two-level local government. The trial runs were basically successful.

However, in this trial run, 168 wards, communes and special zones will operate on the same system to grasp and overcome difficulties, ensuring synchronous and smooth operation from July 1.
