(CPV) - Compared to the old model, the new passport model has many improvements in form, promoting many typical images of landscapes, national sovereignty , and famous cultural heritages of the country such as: Ha Long Bay, Hue Imperial City, Hung Temple, Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, Nha Rong Wharf, Lung Cu Flagpole, etc., showing the tradition, history, geography, and culture of the country.
From April 15, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese representative agencies abroad will officially issue new diplomatic and official passports (non-chip type).
The new diplomatic and official passports still retain the English names "Diplomatic passport" and "Official passport", issued together with the new ordinary passport model (non-chip type and electronic chip type), as stipulated in Circular No. 69/2022/TT-BCA dated December 31, 2022 of the Minister of Public Security amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular No. 71/2021/TT-BCA.
