In her post, Bella Hadid posted a series of photos capturing her worst moments in her battle with the chronic disease. Her medical records were also released.
Lyme disease is caused by a spirochete called Borrelia burgdorferi and is transmitted from animals to humans through the bite of ticks. People of all ages are at risk of contracting the disease, but the elderly, children, and people who work outdoors such as park rangers and firefighters are considered to be at higher risk. People with the disease often suffer damage to the skin, nervous system, joints, heart, etc.
Bella Hadid has been taking a break from modeling and keeping a low profile on social media since her split from boyfriend Marc Kalman earlier this year. However, she has made it clear that this is only a temporary setback for her. "I'll be back as soon as I'm ready," the supermodel said.
