The Opta supercomputer ran multiple simulations of the tournament to produce the final results. Last year, Liverpool comfortably won the Premier League, finishing 10 points clear of second-placed Arsenal.
This summer, Mikel Arteta's team brought in many new players, including striker Viktor Gyökeres for £63.5 million to compete for the 2025-2026 Premier League title.
However, Opta's prediction shows that the "Gunners" will still run out of steam and continue to finish second with 72 points, 1 point behind Liverpool - the team predicted to win the championship.
Defending champions Liverpool are predicted to have a 28.5% chance of defending their title. Arsenal are said to have just a 24.3% chance of winning the Premier League title.
The supercomputer predicts Man City and Chelsea to finish in the top four, while Aston Villa will finish fifth and Newcastle sixth.
Surprisingly, predictions suggested Crystal Palace could cope with a busy Conference League schedule and finish seventh. Brentford continued to impress despite the loss of key players, finishing tenth.
Meanwhile, Man United and Tottenham are expected to not improve their performance compared to last season when they are ranked in the bottom half of the rankings. Specifically, Man United is ranked 12th and Tottenham is ranked 14th.
The supercomputer believes that Burnley, Leeds, and Sunderland will be the strong candidates for relegation.
