Banh Khanh Dung, a former student of the 13th class of English Language, Saigon International University (SIU), has become a flight attendant of Emirates Airlines.
Khanh Dung also received encouragement and guidance from teachers at SIU, who commented that Dung was very suitable for the career of flight attendant. That helped Dung to be more determined in pursuing her dream.

Ever since she was a child, Khanh Dung has cherished the dream of becoming a flight attendant. After graduating from high school at Asian School, Khanh Dung continued to choose SIU to develop herself.
"To become a flight attendant for an international airline, English is an indispensable factor. Studying at SIU, I have the opportunity to practice directly with native teachers in an international environment, helping my English ability to improve significantly. This is also a school that my parents completely trust, so I always receive full support from my family, which makes my learning journey smoother." Khanh Dung shared.
During her studies, Khanh Dung acquired a lot of valuable knowledge, comprehensively practiced specialized English skills such as listening, speaking, reading, writing, and learned more about communication culture, English in tourism , commerce, and translation.
In addition, Dung actively participates in conferences, specialized seminars and workshops, through which she not only learns more knowledge but also broadens her vision of the cultures of countries around the world.
"Growing up in a multicultural international environment has helped me practice soft skills from a very early age, especially presentation, which has helped me become more confident in interviews." Khanh Dung added.
In addition to studying, Khanh Dung is also an outstanding member of the SIU dance club - SEC Dance Club. By participating in practice sessions and performances at school events, Dung has been able to practice her confidence and develop her communication skills. The club is also where Dung connects with her fellow students, who have always supported and encouraged her during the preparation for interviews.
Understanding the importance of real-life experiences, Dung worked part-time at a burger shop near her school and as a saleswoman for the Pull & Bear brand. These jobs helped Khanh Dung accumulate customer service skills and score points with employers.
Studying, participating in extracurricular activities and working part-time have brought Khanh Dung many valuable experiences, becoming solid foundations on the journey to conquer her dreams. Thanks to that, when the opportunity comes, Dung can confidently "take off" and fly further, reaching new and promising horizons.

Right after completing her studies, Khanh Dung immediately seized the opportunity to fulfill her dream when Emirates Airlines opened recruitment. Dung prepared carefully from self-study, practicing interview skills to confidently performing in the selection rounds.
Talking about the "key" to success in becoming a flight attendant for a world-class airline, Dung said: "Living with a goal and making a specific plan to achieve that goal is the most important thing. I always prepare everything carefully, from knowledge to skills, perseverance and endurance. When the opportunity comes, I am ready to seize it."
Khanh Dung has excelled over 160 candidates, many of whom have experience working at domestic airlines, to become an official flight attendant of Emirates Airlines.
Dung always tells herself that her youthfulness and a well-planned work mindset will be her "strengths" to convince employers. Even in job interviews, Dung always shows her willingness to work and determination to contribute. Having passed 4 rounds including: Group Discussion 1,2; English Test and Final Interview, Dung has successfully conquered her dream.
After passing the selection rounds, Khanh Dung participated in a two-month flight attendant training program, which included courses in flight safety, security, first aid, and customer service. With her new job, Dung had the opportunity to meet many people from all over the world and visit places she never thought she would visit.
Sharing about her future plans, Khanh Dung shared that she will continue to work as a flight attendant, conquer more routes and explore new countries. "My journey is still long, and I want to take my parents to travel to many places. I always believe that when I try to do my best, the best will naturally come." Dung affirmed.
From SIU lecture hall to Emirates Airlines cabin crew, Khanh Dung's story is a living proof that when the desire and determination are big enough, the vast sky is just the starting point.
