DEPARTMENT OF ETHNICITY AND RELIGION ORGANIZED A DISCUSSION ON THE OCCASION OF THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE TRADITION OF STATE MANAGEMENT OF RELIGION (August 2, 1955 - August 2, 2025)

On the afternoon of August 1, 2025, in a solemn and proud atmosphere on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the traditional day of the state management of religion (August 2, 1955 - August 2, 2025); with the consent of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions solemnly organized a discussion to review the 70-year journey of building and developing the state management of religion; to acknowledge and express gratitude for the contributions of generations of cadres and civil servants working in religious affairs. At the same time, to acknowledge and commend the accompaniment and coordination of religious organizations, affiliated religious organizations, and belief establishments in participating in the cause of socio-economic development, building and consolidating the great national unity bloc.

Attending the seminar were comrade Doan Thanh Son, member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province; representatives of leaders of agencies and units: Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son province; Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee; Provincial Military Command; Provincial Public Security; Office of the Provincial People's Committee; Department of Home Affairs; Department of Finance; Cluster 24 of Military Region 1, representatives of the People's Committees of some communes and wards in the province. The seminar was attended by dignitaries, officials representing religious organizations, affiliated religious organizations; representatives of some religious establishments in Lang Son province. In his speech reviewing the tradition on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the tradition of the state management of religion, comrade Pham Duc Huan, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, emphasized: “ Over the past 70 years of formation and development, the state management of religion has continuously grown, affirming its important role in the cause of building the great national unity bloc, ensuring the freedom of belief and religion of the people, contributing to maintaining political stability and social order and safety. In Lang Son province, the state management advisory department for religion was officially established on May 17, 1995, undergoing many fluctuations and changes under many different agencies, but the team of cadres and civil servants working in religious affairs has been active and proactive in advising on solving issues related to the state management of religion ” .

Comrade Pham Duc Huan, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, reviewed the industry's traditions on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the tradition of the state management of religion sector.

At the Seminar, representatives of agencies and units; generations of cadres and civil servants advising on religious work through the periods; dignitaries and officials representing religious organizations and affiliated religious organizations; representatives of a number of religious establishments in Lang Son province exchanged and shared practical experiences in state management of beliefs and religions; at the same time, frankly raised difficulties and problems and proposed solutions. Many valuable lessons and good experiences drawn from practice were shared at the Seminar, which are an important basis for contributing to improving the effectiveness of state management of beliefs and religions in the current period.

Speaking at the seminar, comrade Doan Thanh Son, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province acknowledged and praised the great, persistent and dedicated contributions of generations of cadres and civil servants in the state management of religion in Lang Son province through the periods - those who have silently and persistently cultivated peace and harmony in the religious life of the people. At the same time, he acknowledged and highly appreciated the dignitaries, officials, monks and nuns, and people of all religions who have always followed the motto of good life - good religion, religion and dharma go hand in hand with the nation, been exemplary, actively fulfilled their civic duties, participated in protecting the Fatherland, building the country, promoting national cultural identity, building a civilized lifestyle, and strengthening the great national unity bloc.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the state management of religion plays a very important role and will become more and more important in the coming period. The tasks are increasingly high, requiring the cadres and civil servants working in religious affairs to be close to the grassroots, understand the religious life of the people, create conditions for religions to operate in accordance with the law, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc in the spirit of Resolution 25-NQ/TW. At the same time, he also believes that dignitaries, officials, monks and all religious people will continue to promote the good values ​​in the doctrine and cultural traditions of the nation, together contributing to building a peaceful and happy society, so that the country will become increasingly rich and prosperous.
