Representatives of the Department of Tourism received and presented the contents that the two gentlemen were interested in, and discussed cooperation issues between Thua Thien Hue province and Fukushima and Okinawa provinces (Japan).

With a rich history and cultural tradition, the land of Huong River - Ngu Mountain is a place where many musical genres bearing the identity of Hue converge, such as scholarly royal court music, folk music, religious music, along with the foundation of poetry, fine arts, folk festivals and traditional handicraft villages, contributing to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of the people of Hue, past and present. In recent years, Hue tourism has been quite successful with new types of tourism, however, Hue is a land that can develop other types of tourism and music tourism is a great potential that needs to be awakened.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, tourism trends have gradually changed, as has the demand for music performances. Performance organizers often choose music venues that have beautiful scenery with songs and healing art performances. With this type of organization, the audience can not only satisfy their ears but also their eyes with beautiful scenery. In addition, combining tourism with performances gives visitors the opportunity to relax, explore the culture and especially the cuisine of many new lands.

Hue possesses a diverse and rich natural landscape from mountains, rivers, and seas; Hue is also a place that preserves many unique cultural values with 5 heritages recognized as heritages of humanity. Hue Royal Court Music was recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage and oral heritage of humanity on November 7, 2003 and the ceremony to receive the recognition certificate was held in Paris, France on January 31, 2004. This is a great honor and pride for Hue as well as the Vietnamese people.

The potential for developing music into a tourism product is huge. Since 2004, Duyet Thi Duong has been restored by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center and put into operation to serve tourists with the Hue royal court music genre, which is quite attractive to tourists. The theater has collected and restored 8 out of 11 ancient dances, 40 royal court music pieces and many excerpts of ancient plays, including many elaborately staged pieces such as Thai Binh Drum, Tam Luan Cuu Chuyen (Great Music), Phu Luc Dich, Kim Tien (Small Music), Vu Phien, Luc Cung Hoa Dang and excerpts of plays Ky Lan Anh, On Dinh Dam Ta, Luc Cung Hoa Dang, Nu Tuong Xuat Quan, Lan Mau Xuat Lan Nhi... excerpts of typical Royal Court Tuong in the plays Son Hau, Tam Nu Do Vuong... The theater has also created and staged dozens of new works on ancient materials, suitable to the tastes of the audience, including the play "Nguoi Khoi Nghiep Dang Trong" which is highly appreciated by the public.

In addition, listening to Hue folk songs on the Perfume River is an art performance activity of listening to Hue folk songs and releasing flower lanterns on the Perfume River. This is an evening tour that many tourists experience when coming to Hue. Joining the Hue folk song tour, visitors will experience Hue's unique music, go on a dragon boat, release flower lanterns, watch the Perfume River, Hue city and Truong Tien bridge sparkling under the night lights.

The two sides plan to develop a plan to implement cooperation steps between the two localities, such as organizing events to introduce culture and tourism, cooperating in developing music tourism, agricultural tourism, etc. and introducing tourism potential between the two localities in the coming time.
