State-level preliminary rehearsal of A80 parade was a great success

After two general rehearsals, on the evening of August 27, at Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi), the State-level preliminary rehearsal of the 80th anniversary celebration, parade, and march for the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2 took place with the participation of more than 40,000 people.

  The parades were assessed to ensure even, beautiful, and unified horizontal and vertical formations, demonstrating the strength of the people's armed forces and national unity.

  Attending and directing the preliminary review were Politburo members: Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important events of the country; General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security .

Also attending were comrade Mai Van Chinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important events of the country; leaders of departments, ministries, branches; leaders of Hanoi city...

Speaking at the opening of the preliminary review session, Party Central Committee member and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung stated that over the past time, the forces have trained very hard with great efforts; so far, there have been initial results to report to the Central Committee and the people. "I request that you continue to strive even harder to complete the task," comrade Nguyen Van Hung stated.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, expressing joy and excitement when seeing people from all over the country turn to the celebration and come to watch the parade, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized that the Organizing Committee hopes that all comrades and people will continue to practice a civilized lifestyle in public places, to keep the capital and Ba Dinh Square bright, green, clean and beautiful.

More than 40,000 officers, soldiers and representatives of all walks of life participated in the State-level preliminary ceremony. Of these, there were 6 forces performing the task at Ba Dinh Square, including: Traditional torch-carrying force and the Fire Guard; Ceremonial Artillery force; Air Force flying salute; Parade and marching force; Background force; Formation and lettering force.

The parade and marching forces include: 4 Honor Guards; 43 groups representing the people's armed forces (26 Army groups, 17 Police groups); foreign military groups (expected 4 groups), including: China, Russia, Laos, Cambodia (arrived in Vietnam: Cambodia August 15, Laos August 16, Russia August 20, China is expected to arrive in Vietnam August 27); military vehicles, artillery, special police vehicles; sea parade forces; 12 mass parade groups; 1 Culture and Sports group. The standing forces include: Honor Guards on the stage and 29 standing groups (18 armed force groups standing opposite stand A; 11 mass groups standing on both sides of the armed force groups).

In front of My Dinh National Stadium (Hanoi), 15 105mm ceremonial cannons and officers and soldiers of the Artillery - Missile Command participated in the preliminary rehearsal.

Also participating in the preliminary rehearsal were the sea parade forces held in Khanh Hoa province, including: Navy, Coast Guard, Border Guard and Military Region 5, with many types of weapons and equipment: Command ships; maritime patrol aircraft, anti-submarine helicopters; submarine squadrons, missile frigates, anti-submarine frigates, fast attack missile boats, gunboats of the Navy; squadrons of Coast Guard ships; Border Guard and Standing Militia Squadron, along with many other modern means and equipment (this content was shown on a screen with narration at the preliminary rehearsal).

Contrary to initial concerns when the heavy rain lasted all morning, the sky cleared up in the afternoon, although cloudy but no rain. The favorable weather conditions made the atmosphere from the center of Ba Dinh Square spread throughout the central streets of Hanoi even more brilliant, enthusiastic, and excited by the people.

In a heroic atmosphere and strong spirit, the preliminary rehearsal program took place to ensure the requirements and tasks set out. The contents took place in the correct order of organization such as traditional torch relay; ceremonial cannon firing; air force salute; military parade, march. The standing blocks showed solemnity, disciplined formation from the beginning to the end of the ceremony. The letter formation block showed proficiency, evenness and rhythm. In particular, the parade blocks followed the order: Parade of the Honor Block; parade of the walking blocks starting from the blocks of the Vietnam People's Army, foreign military blocks, militia and self-defense forces; the police blocks were performed proficiently, evenly and beautifully.

The parade of military vehicles, artillery, and special police vehicles demonstrated a strong spirit, reflecting the strength of the revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern Vietnamese People's Armed Forces, ready to fight to protect the Fatherland; truly a reliable support for the Party, State, and people.

The parade of armed forces at sea in an A-shaped formation, broadcast from Khanh Hoa sea to Ba Dinh, Hanoi, showed close coordination and discipline combined with modern weapons, improving overall quality and combat strength, capable of being the core in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

The parade of the mass bloc and the Cultural - Sports bloc shows the solidarity and vitality of Vietnamese culture and people, creating confidence in the readiness to enter a new era, bringing the country to strong and prosperous development.

The joyful and excited atmosphere of the crowd on the streets of Hanoi really exploded when the parades, marches, and military equipment spread out from Ba Dinh Square in all directions amidst the cheers and applause of the people.

The parade rehearsal is an important preparation step before the general rehearsal taking place on the morning of August 30, leading up to the official ceremony on the morning of September 2, 2025.
