On the afternoon of January 17, 2025, the Department of Science and Technology of Ca Mau province held a conference to summarize the work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su attended and directed the Conference.

In 2024, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology (DOST) promptly deployed all aspects of work, most of the year's targets were achieved and exceeded the set plan. The implementation of scientific and technological tasks was timely and in accordance with regulations. State management of science and technology closely followed the policies and directions of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the province. Startup and innovation activities were promptly deployed according to the Plan set forth by the Provincial Startup Support Steering Committee. The implementation of research, application transfer and replication of scientific and technological tasks in various fields has improved a lot, actively applying the results of topics and projects to production and life, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. The field of quality measurement standards in the province has been effectively deployed.

In 2025, the Department of Science and Technology will continue to implement the key tasks of the industry, especially focusing on advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution No. 03/NQ-CP dated January 9, 2025 on the Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; strictly implement Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently; with the merger of the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology into the Department of Science and Technology, promptly operate the apparatus to meet the requirements of assigned tasks. Set out specific orientations and goals, direct and lead the effective implementation of science and technology tasks, innovation and digital transformation, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su requested members of the Board of Directors of the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Information and Communications to pay attention to: Organizing a good apparatus for the common goals of the two Departments; deploying; proactively mobilizing the intelligence of sectors, institutes and scientists in advising and implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW; identifying the key tasks in 2025 and needing to have a deeper and more thorough assessment of the tasks in 2024 that are still heavily formalistic...
