Department of Science and Technology of Ca Mau province organized the first advanced typical conference, period 2020 - 2025

On the afternoon of August 29, 2025, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) solemnly held the first Advanced Model Conference for the period 2020 - 2025. The conference aimed to summarize and evaluate the results of the patriotic emulation movement over the past 5 years, commend advanced typical collectives and individuals, and set out directions and tasks for the period 2025 - 2030.

Attending the conference were comrade Huynh Hung Dung, Deputy Director of the Department; leaders of departments and units under the Department of Science and Technology; and typical advanced collectives and individuals of the Department of Science and Technology.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, comrade Huynh Hung Dung emphasized: Implementing President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation and Directive No. 41-CT/TW dated December 26, 2024 of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership in emulation and reward work in the new situation. In recent years, the emulation movement of the Department of Science and Technology has been widely and comprehensively deployed, achieving many positive results.

At the conference, delegates listened to Mr. Chau Hong Vinh, Chief of Office of the Department of Science and Technology, report on the summary of the emulation movement and commendation work of the Department in the period of 2020 - 2025, directions and tasks for the period of 2025 - 2030; representatives of units presented reports on:   “Solutions to promote Digital Transformation in Ca Mau province”; “Standards, Measurement, Quality - Driving force for promoting science and technology development”; “The role of the Data Integration Center in the digital transformation process of Ca Mau province”; “Promoting the role of young resources in the science and technology sector”. The presentations shared many experiences and good practices, creating a spirit of competition and creativity throughout the sector.

To recognize the contributions, the Director of the Department of Science and Technology awarded Certificates of Merit to 03 collectives and 29 individuals and proposed the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to award Certificates of Merit to 03 collectives and 06 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for the period 2020 - 2025.

In his closing speech, the leader of the Department of Science and Technology affirmed: The first advanced typical conference is an important milestone, both summarizing the 5-year journey of exciting emulation and starting a new period of 2025 - 2030 with many key goals and tasks. The Department of Science and Technology will continue to promote the tradition of patriotic emulation, the spirit of creative work and solidarity to successfully complete the targets and tasks, contributing to the overall development of the province./.
