(TN&MT) - On the afternoon of March 3, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Can Tho City held a conference to deploy decisions on personnel work.
At the Conference, the Organizing Committee successively presented 54 Decisions of the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Can Tho City on the appointment of officials to hold the positions of head and deputy head of 16 departments, branches, and public service units under the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Tran Phu Loc Thanh, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Can Tho City, congratulated 54 key officials who had just been awarded the appointment decisions to the positions of heads and deputy heads of 16 departments, branches, and public service units under the Department of Agriculture and Environment; at the same time, shared and encouraged those officials who were transferred from the head level to deputy level or transferred to other units due to mergers and streamlining of the apparatus to continue to make efforts and strive to fulfill their responsibilities as officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers, and strive to complete their assigned tasks well.
Mr. Tran Phu Loc Thanh requested key leaders at 16 departments, branches, and public service units under the Department to continue to do a good job of political and ideological education for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers, regardless of who is from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment or who is from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; organize work assignments for each cadre, civil servant, public employee, and worker and get to work immediately, without interruption; develop plans to supplement equipment to serve the Department's activities; develop regulations for the Department's operations; review the list of public services to ensure continuous handling of administrative procedures for people and businesses, and resolutely avoid interruption.
Also according to Mr. Tran Phu Loc Thanh, in the context that from March 1, 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Environment performs its tasks according to Resolution No. 07 of the People's Council of Can Tho City, there are many advantages and challenges intertwined. Regarding advantages, the Department of Agriculture and Environment receives the attention of the leaders of the City People's Committee; the functions, tasks, and powers assigned by the City People's Committee to advise on the management work of the Department; solidarity, consensus, and inheritance of the traditions of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development before, now the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
In addition to the advantages, Mr. Tran Phu Loc Thanh also pointed out some challenges in 2025 such as targets on agricultural production and completing revenue estimates, mainly land use fees. "Although there are many difficulties and challenges, with the solidarity, consensus, efforts, determination, courage, daring to think, daring to do of the staff, civil servants, public employees, and workers, I believe that the Department of Agriculture and Environment will fulfill the assigned targets and tasks, contributing to the city's socio-economic development more and more quickly and sustainably" - Mr. Tran Phu Loc Thanh emphasized.
