According to Lao Dong Newspaper's reporter (January 10, 2024), the interest rate table for 12-month and 24-month terms at NCB, HDBank, and PVcomBank fluctuates around 5.7 - 10.0%.

In particular, for the 12-month savings term, NCB listed the highest interest rate at 5.7%; 8.0% is the interest rate HDBank is applying, for new savings deposits from 300 billion VND or more. Particularly at PVcomBank, the 12-month interest rate is up to 10%, for new deposits from 2,000 billion VND or more.

Compared to the average bank interest rates at more than 20 banks, PVcomBank, HDBank, and NCB are ranked among the banks with the highest interest rates.

For 24-month savings term, NCB listed interest rate at 6.0%; HDBank listed interest rate at 6.3%; 5.7% is the interest rate listed by PVcomBank for this term.

Reference interest calculation formula:

Interest = Deposit x savings interest rate (%)/12 months x number of months of savings.

For example, you deposit 1 billion VND at NCB, 24-month term, 6% interest rate. After 24 months, the interest you can receive is as follows:

Interest = 1 billion VND x 6%/12 months x 24 months = 120 million VND.

Or you save 1 billion VND at HDBank, 24-month term, 6.3% interest rate. After 2 years, the interest you can receive is as follows:

Interest = 1 billion VND x 6.3%/12 months x 24 months = 126 million VND.

If you deposit 1 billion VND at PVcomBank, 24-month term, interest rate 5.7%. After 2 years, the interest you can receive is as follows:

Interest = 1 billion VND x 5.7%/12 months x 24 months = 114 million VND.
