In a report to the South Korean National Assembly , the South Korean National Intelligence Service (NIS) said on March 8 that Kim Ju-ae - the daughter of North Korean President Kim Jong-un - did not register for any school and studied at home, AP reported.

Also according to NIS, in addition to studying, the daughter of the North Korean leader Kim Ju-ae often spends her free time horseback riding, skiing and swimming.

The NIS said it had information that Kim Ju Ae was “very good at horse riding” and that Kim Jong-un was pleased with her talent.

The statement was made by the NIS in a report on the possibility of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un choosing his successor at the present time.

The NIS report stated that the North Korean leader is young and healthy, and it is too early to search for his successor.

Since November last year, little Kim Ju-ae has appeared in many important events in North Korea, such as inspecting the testing process of the Hwasong-17 ballistic missile, sparking heated debates about the possibility that this 10-year-old girl will become a future successor.

The South Korean government believes the 39-year-old leader has not yet decided who will succeed him, and that his daughter's public appearance is only to show the public that one of his children will take over from him at some point.

Last month, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, his wife Ri Sol-ju and their daughter were the center of attention at a military parade in Pyongyang to celebrate the founding of the Korean People's Army.

The parade featured a cavalry unit riding white horses through Kim Il Sung Square. White horses are an animal associated with the family tradition of the North Korean leader.

The North Korean state news agency (KCNA) also said that horses were the animal that little girl Kim Ju-ae loved the most.

NIS said Kim Ju-ae has an older brother and a younger sister, but they do not yet know if the younger sister is a boy or a girl.

Some experts believe that Kim Ju-ae is almost certain to succeed her father, as North Korean state media has called her “the most beloved” or “respected daughter.” However, others disagree, saying that Kim Jong-un is still very young and that North Korean society traditionally values men.
