On August 14, 2025, the Department of Health held a Conference to announce the decisions of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province on renaming the old District General Hospital, reorganizing and renaming the Medical Center, establishing Medical Stations and Medical Points under the Medical Center under the Department of Health. Attending the Conference were comrades in the Board of Directors of the Department of Health; representatives of leaders of functional departments under the Department of Health; representatives of leaders and officials of the Center for Disease Control; Ha Quang, Quang Hoa, Trung Khanh General Hospitals and Medical Centers; representatives of a number of Medical Stations in the province. Due to the arrangement of commune-level administrative units according to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, to suit the operation of the new actual situation, on July 31, 2025, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province issued decisions to rename the District General Hospitals: Ha Quang, Quang Hoa, Trung Khanh to Hospitals: Ha Quang, Quang Uyen, Trung Khanh; Decisions on reorganizing and renaming the Medical Centers of the old districts and cities to Medical Centers: Bao Lam, Bao Lac, Ha Lang, Thong Nong, Hoa An, Nguyen Binh, Quang Hoa, Thach An, Trung Khanh and Cao Bang Medical Center; Decision No. 1333/QD-UBND dated August 11, 2025 of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province on the establishment of Medical Stations, Medical Points under the Medical Centers under the Cao Bang Department of Health, including: 56 Commune and Ward Health Stations and 116 Medical Points.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Nong Tuan Phong - Director of the Department of Health directed the hospitals, Medical Centers and Health Stations of the new communes and wards to proactively review and rearrange the organizational structure of the units, closely following the Project of the Department of Health and current regulations to arrange human resources, assign tasks to officials to ensure smooth operations, quickly complete procedures and documents to grant operating licenses to units after changing their names during the transition period, review facilities, materials and equipment serving the handover between communes after merging administrative boundaries.
