On the morning of January 1, at the Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument Ceremony Ground, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized cultural and sports exchange activities to welcome the new year 2025.
The opening of the exchange activity was a special art program performed by artists and actors from the provincial Cultural and Cinema Center. With many elaborately staged performances , the art program brought the audience performances with a lively and cheerful rhythm. Thereby, spreading the atmosphere of the new spring, enthusiastically responded by the people and tourists.
Right after the art program, there were sports exchanges such as: Tung con, tug of war, pao throwing, basketball attracting the participation and cheering of many people and tourists. In which, the tossing event also had the participation of 5 villages in Dien Bien Phu city, Dien Bien district: U Va village, Him Lam 2 village, Noong Bua village, Mo village, Noong Vai village. Basketball competition included 3 events: U14, U18 and over 18 years old. Tug of war was a competition between the teams: Mo village, Noong Bua village, U Va village, Phan Dinh Giot High School, Provincial Cultural - Cinema Center. At the end of the sports exchange, the Organizing Committee awarded first, second and third prizes to the teams.
Taking place on the first day of the new year 2025, cultural and sports exchange activities created a joyful and vibrant atmosphere for locals and tourists. Thereby, contributing to the preservation of traditional cultural values, promoting tourism development.
