Moderate to heavy rain affects outdoor activities and traffic. Heavy rain can cause flash floods, landslides, and land subsidence in mountainous areas, especially in steep terrain, and flooding in low-lying areas.
Tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds can affect agricultural production, break trees, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure.
Faced with complicated weather developments, districts, towns and cities of Son La and people need to proactively prevent and combat natural disasters and search and rescue according to the "4 on-site" motto, minimizing damage to people and property.
