After loading the goods onto the truck to transport to the delivery points, Mr. Duong Van Phuoc, owner of Phuoc Duyen ham, sausage, and nem chua production facility in Phuong Vy commune, Cam Khe district happily chatted: Previously, our products were mainly delivered to the market in the commune and district, with small quantities and unstable consumption. Since joining the digital agricultural product map system, customers have known more about our products, the consumption market has expanded, so the quantity of goods has increased, and the scale of production has expanded. Through the digital map system, customers can trace the location, origin, production time, and expiration date of the product. From there, it creates trust for consumers.
Since the implementation of the digital agricultural product map, the My Lung Ga Crow sticky rice production and general service cooperative (My Lung commune, Yen Lap district) has participated and initially shown practical results. Mr. Khuc Ngoc Tung, Director of the Cooperative, shared that online sales or social networking sites and websites are increasingly expanding, gaining market share. To build a stable and sustainable development of the Cooperative, we have joined a number of product introduction sites such as giaothuong.net; voso.com... especially participating in the province's digital agricultural product map system. Thanks to that, many customers outside the province have known the My Lung Ga Crow sticky rice brand, the amount of products consumed is increasing, helping to increase income for members.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Manh, Director of Manh Lien Vegetable, Root and Fruit Cooperative (Huong Non Commune, Tam Nong District) said: “Since joining e-commerce platforms and the digital agricultural map system, the consumption of the cooperative's products has been more favorable. Currently, customers not only order online but also come to the cooperative's address, helping us develop more forms of agricultural production experience tourism, contributing to increasing revenue for the cooperative.”
The digital agricultural map acts as a “Digital Command Post” for the agricultural sector, providing comprehensive information on five key areas. First of all, OCOP products and the province’s high-quality, typical products are introduced in detail on the map, creating conditions for widespread promotion and enhancing brand value. In addition, the map also clearly shows information on growing areas that have been assigned growing area codes, ensuring traceability and meeting export standards.
In the livestock sector, farms and production facilities certified as disease-free are updated, bringing transparency and peace of mind to consumers. The forestry sector is also focused on providing information on forest areas certified as sustainable forest management (FSC), affirming the commitment to development associated with environmental protection. Not stopping there, the map also displays a list of units in the aquaculture sector that have been certified as qualified for production and business, helping to improve the quality and competitiveness of Phu Tho seafood products.
Director of Phu Tho Provincial Agricultural Extension Center Nguyen Thanh Tung said: The digital agricultural product map is not only a modern technological tool but also an important bridge between producers and markets. Promoting Phu Tho agricultural products on this platform has opened up great opportunities for local agricultural products to access larger markets, both domestic and international. The map also encourages businesses and farmers to actively participate in the digital transformation process, thereby improving competitiveness and product value. This digital platform helps production units integrate with e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, TikTok, Lazada, and at the same time take advantage of social networks to promote and sell products.
To date, the software system has digitized more than 60,000 pages of specialized documents, helping management agencies look up data on growing area codes, disease-safe livestock facilities, FSC sustainable forest certification, and OCOP product catalogs. This helps to make the supply chain transparent, ensure product quality, and enhance the reputation of local agricultural products. Thousands of businesses, cooperatives, cooperative groups, production facilities, etc. have participated in the system, helping to widely promote Phu Tho agricultural products on the digital system, expanding the consumption market, etc. However, one of the biggest barriers is traditional production habits, making many farmers and cooperatives hesitant or unfamiliar with applying digital technology to production and business activities.
In the coming time, the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center will promote training for businesses and cooperatives on how to exploit digital platforms, build online booths and use digital marketing tools, develop applications to increase accessibility and convenience for users. In addition, it will build and upgrade the system, expand features, connect to other platforms to support market trend analysis, optimize supply-demand connections and help businesses make decisions based on real data. Thereby, promoting and accelerating the digitalization process of the agricultural sector, contributing to the development of the province's agriculture in a modern, stable, sustainable and environmentally friendly direction.
