Of which, international tourists are estimated at 567.37 thousand, an increase of 25% over the same period in 2024; domestic tourists are estimated at 2.16 million, an increase of 14.9% over the same period in 2024. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 10.54 trillion VND, an increase of 19% over the same period in 2024.
In the first 5 months of 2025, the total number of tourists to Hanoi is estimated at 12.77 million, an increase of 10.9% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international tourists are estimated at 3.16 million, an increase of 20.2% over the same period in 2024; domestic tourists are estimated at 9.61 million, an increase of 7.8% over the same period in 2024. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 51.94 trillion VND, an increase of 14.1% over the same period in 2024.
It is expected that in the first 6 months of 2025, the total number of tourists to Hanoi will reach 15.55 million, an increase of 11.8% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international tourists are estimated to reach 3.66 million, an increase of 21.8% over the same period in 2024, domestic tourists are estimated to reach 11.9 million, an increase of 9.0% over the same period in 2024. Total revenue from tourists is estimated to reach 62,299 trillion VND, an increase of 14.6% over the same period in 2024.
Regarding the number of tourist accommodation establishments, the capital currently has 3,761 accommodation establishments with 71,256 rooms; of which there are 85 hotels and apartment complexes within the period of being ranked from 1 to 5 stars with a total of 11,965 rooms. Up to now, Hanoi has 97 service establishments recognized as meeting standards for serving tourists.
In May 2024, the average room occupancy rate of the hotel block is estimated to reach 64.7%, equal to the same period in 2024.

In 2025, Hanoi aims to welcome 31 million visitors, including 7.5 million international visitors; total tourism revenue will reach about 130,000 billion VND, contributing to the growth of the total product in the area (GRDP) of 8% or more.
