Tourists flock to Vietnam's most beautiful rice fields during festival season

On the afternoon of May 23, Ninh Binh province held the opening ceremony of Ninh Binh Tourism Week "The Golden Color of Tam Coc - Trang An" at Tam Coc rice fields, part of the Trang An world heritage site.

Mr. Tran Song Tung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2025 shared that Tam Coc fields were once voted by the travel website Business Insider as one of the 5 most beautiful rice fields in Vietnam.

"The harmonious beauty and convergence of the sacred soul of the mountains and rivers along with the friendly, gentle people here has always been a place to come, a place to return to, a source of creative inspiration in work, art creation, poetry, photography, cinema...", Mr. Tung said.

According to the Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, Ninh Binh people have been and are continuing to inherit and promote the sacred values left by their ancestors, nurturing the natural landscape and cultivating traditional cultural values, sustainable development, spreading heritage values, connecting with regions, opening up new development spaces, contributing to the whole country entering a new era.

Tam Coc - Trang An is not only a famous scenic spot of Vietnam but also a World Cultural and Natural Heritage, where the majestic beauty of nature, thousands of years of history and the unique cultural depth of the Red River Delta converge.

In May, Tam Coc puts on a "golden" coat of ripe rice, creating an incomparable natural picture, where people and nature blend together in a peaceful, simple but captivating atmosphere.

Following the growth cycle of rice, when the green fields turn yellow signaling the harvest season, the eyes and smiles of local people are filled with satisfaction and aspirations, which is also the opening time of Ninh Binh Tourism Week "The Golden Color of Tam Coc - Trang An".

Ninh Binh Tourism Week is an annual cultural and tourism event of special significance. It is not only an opportunity to honor and cherish the amazing natural beauty and unique, profound cultural heritages of thousands of years, but also an opportunity to promote the image of Ninh Binh land and people to visitors from near and far; contributing to affirming the position of Ninh Binh on the domestic and international tourism map.
