Lo River develops modern industry, urban and services

Song Lo Commune was formed on the basis of merging the communes: Dong Thinh, Tu Yen, Duc Bac and Yen Thach, becoming one of the lands with full conditions and potential to break through, affirming the role of the center of industrial development, urban and modern services of Phu Tho province. With its location adjacent to the provincial center, convenient transportation system, Song Lo is considered an important gateway, capable of strongly attracting domestic and foreign investors.

Industry as a growth engine

Since its establishment, Song Lo commune has clearly defined its economic development strategy, taking industry as the key driving force to create a strong transformation. In the commune, the three key projects of Song Lo I Industrial Park, Song Lo II Industrial Park and Dong Thinh Industrial Park are considered "three spearheads" creating a continuous and complementary position, while opening up the prospect of becoming a concentrated industrial - service cluster of the province.

In particular, Song Lo I Industrial Park with an area of ​​177.36 hectares is being accelerated for site clearance. Up to now, compensation has been paid for 32.4 hectares (59.62%) with a cost of more than 112.7 billion VND. Although there are still problems with resettlement and land prices, with the drastic participation of local authorities, the project is being resolved step by step, aiming to soon hand over the entire cleared site to build synchronous technical infrastructure.

Song Lo II Industrial Park has witnessed remarkable progress. The total area to be recovered is 165.65 hectares, of which 162.12 hectares (98%), of which 160.32 hectares have been compensated with a total cost of 471.9 billion VND; the Provincial People's Committee has allocated 152 hectares of land to the investor. This is an important premise for the industrial park to be ready to welcome the first secondary investors in early 2026. According to the Industrial Park Management Board, more than 15 enterprises in the fields of mechanics, electricity - electronics, garment, and agricultural processing have come to survey, of which 5 enterprises have submitted investment research documents.

Complementing the two industrial parks above, Dong Thinh Industrial Park with a scale of 13.6 hectares has basically completed the site clearance work (97.79%). In particular, Vit Garment Export Garment Company has come into operation, attracting nearly 300 local workers. The presence of this pioneering enterprise has both affirmed the practical effectiveness of the industrial development orientation and created a supply chain for large industrial parks.

It can be said that the parallel progress of Song Lo I Industrial Park, Song Lo II Industrial Park and Dong Thinh Industrial Cluster not only creates a position for continuous industrial development, but also reflects the strong political determination of the locality in gradually turning Song Lo into a new, modern and sustainable industrial center of Phu Tho province.

Vit Garment Export Garment Company (Dong Thinh Industrial Park) creates jobs for nearly 300 local workers with an average income of nearly 8 million VND/person/month.

Urbanization and modern services - the foundation for a livable land

Along with industrial development, Song Lo focuses on urban planning and modern services, considering this an important foundation to improve the quality of people's lives. With the advantage of traffic infrastructure and Vinh Phu bridge directly connecting Vinh Yen urban area, the commune focuses on building new residential areas, riverside urban areas, commercial centers, logistics services, finance - banking, healthcare, education . Essential services such as telecommunications, postal services, e-commerce are also expanded, meeting the increasing needs of daily life and business.

Another bright spot is that the commune is a pioneer in implementing comprehensive digital transformation, aiming to have 100% of eligible administrative records processed online by 2030, and 100% of civil servants trained in digital skills. This is a strategic step to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of governance, and better serve people and businesses.

In the agricultural sector, Song Lo has persistently innovated towards commodity and high technology, associated with OCOP products and eco-tourism. Key products such as high-quality rice, ornamental plants, and livestock farming according to the farm model... both enhance economic value and preserve the landscape and culture of the countryside.

The commune aims to have 85% of its workforce trained by 2030, reducing the proportion of agricultural workers to 21%. This is a key orientation to form a high-quality human resource to meet the requirements of industry and services in the new era.

It can be affirmed that, with the right orientation, the determination of the political system and the consensus of the people, Song Lo is firmly on the path to becoming a modern industrial - urban - service center, an attractive destination for investors and a livable land for the people. The development of Song Lo is also a vivid demonstration of the strong aspiration of Phu Tho province in the period of industrialization, modernization and international integration.
