To implement the Program on economical and efficient use of energy, the Nghe An Center for Support and Consulting on the Development of Industry and Trade - a public service unit under the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade, is assigned the task of advising on the organization and implementation of extensive program activities to communes, wards, businesses and people.

Every year, the center has focused on strengthening coordination with state management agencies and socio-political organizations in propagating and widely disseminating the Party and State's policies and guidelines; Inspecting and supervising key energy-using agencies, units and facilities on compliance with state regulations on safety and electricity saving, implementing the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy, and applying energy-saving solutions. Ms. Le Thi Hong in Dai Dong commune shared: Recently, I participated in a training session on energy saving in the family organized by the Nghe An Center for Supporting and Consulting on Industrial and Trade Development. Here, people in Dai Dong commune were introduced to the State's policies and guidelines on energy saving and efficient use; instructed on skills on using energy-saving devices and equipment in the family, and how to choose and buy household appliances. This activity is very meaningful to us.

For agencies and schools, Nghe An Center for Supporting and Consulting on Industrial and Trade Development coordinates to organize seminars on energy saving with topics on energy saving solutions, introducing new forms of energy, renewable energy, new technology equipment; Providing information on energy saving products for agencies, offices, businesses, commercial centers, buildings, hotels, restaurants with high energy consumption... These activities attract many participating businesses such as Rang Dong Thermos Joint Stock Company, Viet Anh Company Limited, SoLar Central Company, Green E Solar Company Limited...

From 2021 to 2025, the Energy Saving and Efficiency Program has supported the replacement and installation of 297 classroom models that meet energy-saving lighting standards for schools in the province. Thanks to that, the quality of classroom lighting has been improved, and from there, schools have also included in the plan to build classrooms that meet lighting standards from local budgets and socialized sources. Typical examples include Dien Cat Primary School, Cam Son Secondary School, Nghia Hoi Primary School, Don Phuc Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Dang Thai Mai Secondary School, Nghi Kim Primary School, Nghi Duc Primary School...

Participating in the energy management training course for key energy-using establishments in the province organized by the Department of Industry and Trade of Nghe An in coordination with Vietnam Technology Solutions Joint Stock Company (VETS), Mr. Dang Xuan Hai, from Nui Tien Pure Water Company Limited, said: Participating in the training course, the trainees are fully equipped with knowledge and skills in energy management and have a firm grasp of legal regulations related to the use of energy economically and efficiently at production and business establishments. Thanks to that, we have more knowledge to build and deploy an energy management system model to optimize production and business costs and reduce energy loss at business establishments, meeting legal regulations.

According to statistics of Nghe An Electricity Company, the results of electricity saving in households from 2021 to 2024 are estimated at a total electricity saving output of about 166,486,955 kWh, reaching a rate of 2.16% and in the first 6 months of 2025, the electricity saving output is 20,881,308 kWh, reaching a rate of 2.11%. Particularly for buildings and agencies, offices from 2021 to 2024, the total electricity saving output is estimated at about 24,796,802 kWh, reaching a rate of 2.92% and in the first 6 months of 2025, the electricity saving output is 6,333,336 kWh, reaching a rate of 5.06%.

Nghe An has very favorable natural conditions for developing renewable energy types such as solar energy. In particular, coastal areas are very suitable for developing solar power projects. Some areas in the locality with mountainous terrain, wide valleys and coastal areas with stable wind also open up investment opportunities for wind power projects.

Besides, Nghe An has a long river system, notably Ca River, Hieu River... with a dense stream system, so it can exploit small hydropower sources effectively with little impact on the environment.

The period 2026-2030 will open a new development period with many intertwined opportunities and challenges. To achieve the set goals, Mr. Hoang Minh Tuan - Director of the Center for Support and Consulting for Industry and Trade Development said that in the coming time, it is necessary to continue to strengthen communication work, widely disseminate policies and guidelines on energy saving. Implement a variety of solutions to raise awareness about economical and efficient energy use through propaganda events, raise public awareness about economical and efficient energy use such as: Organizing the Earth Hour Campaign, launching movements and competitions on energy saving...

"We will focus on comprehensively innovating communication content and methods in an accessible, intuitive, and digital direction. Strengthening propaganda through digital media, social networking platforms, and grassroots information systems. Clarifying the role, position, and importance of energy saving programs in the socio-economic development process," Mr. Tuan shared.
