The workshop was attended by more than 60 delegates, including students, youth, representatives of local agencies and stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Head of the Youth Union and Youth Movement Committee (City Youth Union) Nguyen Duy Thanh said that many activities to reduce plastic waste, practice waste classification, recycle waste, etc. have been implemented by youth union organizations and brought about positive results in recent times.
Many models such as small planning trips, battery houses, youth green corners, etc. are deployed and maintained in schools and residential areas, contributing to improving environmental hotspots and building the habit of waste classification and recycling in schools and communities.
At the workshop, representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Environment informed about the laws related to waste management according to the Law on Environmental Protection 2020. Delegates shared effective circular economic and waste management models, such as: waste management and sustainable development at Hoa Bac Cooperative (Hai Van ward), circular economic model at Seven Bridges Brewing.
With the support of CAB, many initiatives to "reduce waste - increase green areas" in schools and communities have been implemented by young people, such as: the project to reduce plastic waste in schools by the Green Living Club (Son Tra High School), the project "Hey trash, bye" by a group of students from the University of Technology and Pharmacy, Da Nang .
The workshop selected three feasible initiatives that have been effectively piloted to support replication.
