However, because they often play familiar characters, they cause boredom for viewers, without any explosion. For example, Meritorious Artist Viet Anh, after more than 100 films, has transformed into many types of roles, but as long as you see this male artist playing the main role, it is still the type of handsome, successful, rich but flawed man, or corrupted official, adulterous businessman... Manh Truong specializes in the roles of "handsome" men, gallant, kind, infatuated or exemplary husbands; Hong Diem specializes in the role of women who suffer many disadvantages...

Some recent TV series such as Love on the Sunny Days, Don't Make Mom Angry, My Family Is Unexpectedly Happy, We of 8 Years Later, We Love Each Other Peacefully ... have a younger generation who regularly play the main roles such as Quynh Kool, Huyen Lizzie, Nhan Phuc Vinh, Viet Hoa, Thanh Son... to the point that many of these faces continuously receive film awards in 1 year or 2-3 consecutive years. However, constantly appearing in main roles with "one-color" characters and acting styles has cooled down a lot.

In the movie Cheer Up, Brothers , the faces that used to play supporting roles in many primetime movies such as Meritorious Artist Thai Son, Anh Duc or To Dung were promoted to lead roles.
