In recent matches of the Vietnam national team, Doan Ngoc Tan has received attention from the coaching staff. Ngoc Tan has never even been present at the youth team level. At the age of 30, he was called up to the Vietnam national team. Although he has shown good form for Dong A Thanh Hoa , the player who is only 1m69 tall needs more time to adapt to the top environment.

The adaptability and positivity that Doan Ngoc Tan brings partly help fans understand why coach Kim Sang-sik refused to include Nguyen Tuan Anh ( Nam Dinh Blue Steel) and Do Hung Dung (Hanoi FC).
It was not until the Vietnam team returned from Korea that Nam Dinh Club could "release" its players due to being busy competing in the AFC Champions League Two. However, it can be said that Tuan Anh's chances of participating in the AFF Cup 2024 are low. He is still on the preliminary list but it is difficult to compete when the Vietnam team's squad is somewhat clearly defined at this time.
