The program is organized by the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, the Embassy of Vietnam in Malaysia in coordination with the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia.

The leaders of the Malaysian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed their honor to attend this event; expressed their sincere gratitude to the Vietnamese Government and the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia for co-organizing the event to promote economic relations between the two countries; and congratulated Vietnam on its impressive economic growth achievements;
The leader of the Malaysian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry emphasized that the two countries have a rapidly growing trade turnover; by 2025, Malaysian investors will have 700 investment projects in Vietnam, becoming the third largest investor in ASEAN in Vietnam. Malaysia has a very dynamic trade relationship with Vietnam. Last year, bilateral trade relations grew by 4.4% compared to 2023.
In the coming time, the two countries will have many opportunities to expand cooperation in many new fields; the two countries highly appreciate the role of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in promoting bilateral relations and within the framework of the CPTPP Agreement.

The Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will continue to work with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to further promote this cooperation, especially this year, when Malaysia assumes the role of ASEAN Chair. We have developed many regional initiatives, hoping that these initiatives will contribute to economic cooperation, enhance economic autonomy, and take advantage of regional supply chains in the current difficult world context.
The two countries in particular and ASEAN in general may need to consider forming an ASEAN Supply Chain Council to work together to improve the supply chain system and effectively respond to external impacts.
The two countries should work together for ASEAN trade. Malaysian businesses affirmed their commitment to continue deepening Vietnam-Malaysia economic, trade and investment cooperation, thereby promoting economic growth for the common prosperity of the region.

Representatives of some Malaysian associations and businesses expressed that Malaysia has always been a good friend of Vietnam; assessing that Vietnam's strong development in recent times has brought us much joy, Vietnam has a strong role in the world economy. This is a good opportunity to promote economic relations, strongly promoting investment sources between the two countries.
This year, the two countries need to boost trade turnover, find solutions for easier supply of goods, focus on garments, medical equipment, promote investment in Vietnam's industrial zones; promote cooperation in technology, take advantage of platforms, Vietnamese technology startups are outstanding in the market; promote innovation among young people, thereby promoting the development of the two countries; increase attention to small and medium enterprises. Promote platform development, people-to-people exchanges, cooperation between universities; take practical actions, the 46th ASEAN Summit does not just stop at decisions on paper, but must be implemented in practice. We need to build cooperation from the top down but from the bottom up. Let's go together for the people of the two countries, for the ASEAN Community.

Speaking at the event, the Malaysian Association of Overseas Chinese Commerce and Industry assessed Vietnam as one of the most important countries in ASEAN. Both countries are members of the CPTPP and RCEP frameworks. We are studying many areas where the business communities of both sides can cooperate, including the Halal industry. The member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) hope that ASEAN will promote cooperation in this field. Vietnam and Malaysia can cooperate in maritime economy to promote economic growth and improve security in the region...
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that the world is currently changing rapidly, unpredictably, and complicatedly, so sending out the message that we must be more united and promote multilateralism because no country can solve global problems on its own.
Nowadays, every external change has an internal impact because supply chains are connected, linked, and complement each other; therefore, we must unite nations and businesses to work together to solve world problems, including our own country's problems, leaving no one behind, participating in promoting fairness, social progress, and equality among nations.
The Prime Minister stated that businesses must connect with each other, connect the two economies, that is, connect to develop a green economy.
The Prime Minister plans to propose to Malaysia to form a green energy zone, digitally connect ASEAN economies, focus on green economy, digital economy, circular economy, renew traditional growth drivers such as investment, export, consumption. This is the mission of enterprises to diversify markets, supply chains, products, complement and support each other.
The Prime Minister shared Vietnam's economic development policies and viewpoints; clearly stating that Vietnam is determined to strive to achieve an economic growth rate of 8% this year, and double digits in the following years. This is an extremely difficult goal in the current context, but we cannot help but be determined.
According to the Prime Minister, to maintain independence and self-reliance, we must be economically strong, build an independent, self-reliant economy, actively and proactively integrate deeply, substantially and effectively into the international community. In addition to the spirit of strongly implementing the three effective strategic breakthroughs, Vietnam is actively investing in strategic infrastructure, especially connecting transport infrastructure; carrying out a revolution in organizational apparatus, implementing a two-level government model to transform the passive state of handling administrative procedures of people and businesses, to a proactive, active state of serving people and businesses as the center.
Vietnam is determined to catch up, move forward, pioneer, lead the game, participate in orienting and shaping the game with the spirit of benefiting all, harmonious benefits, and shared risks. Institutions must go first, lead, be both the driving force and the resource, turning institutions from bottlenecks into advantages; ensuring openness, increasing competitiveness.
The Prime Minister called on Malaysian businesses to come to Vietnam because Vietnam is striving for open policies, smooth infrastructure, smart management; committed to protecting property rights, freedom of business, equal access to the country's resources including land, resources, and minerals; committed to protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of businesses, including Malaysian businesses; implementing with the spirit of listening and understanding; sharing vision, awareness and action; working together, enjoying together, winning together and developing together; sharing joy, happiness and pride.
The Prime Minister emphasized the spirit of "what you say must be done, what you promise must be done", what you do, what you do must have results, specific products, "weighed, measured, counted".
