BHG - On the afternoon of May 11, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee, a conference on business connection and cooperation between the People's Committee of Ha Giang province and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan took place. Attending the conference on the side of the Embassy of Azerbaijan were: Mr. Shovgi Mehdizada - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Vietnam; Azerbaijani enterprises. On the side of Ha Giang province, there were Mr. Tran Duc Quy, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches and enterprises in the province.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duc Quy emphasized: Since the first visit to Ha Giang by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in October 2018, the two sides have regularly exchanged information and organized online meetings to study and explore possible cooperation contents. In particular, after taking office in Vietnam at the end of December 2022, Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizada chose Ha Giang province as the first destination to work and promote cooperation. That has affirmed the Ambassador's interest and importance in promoting the development of cooperative relations between the two sides. At the same time, after the working trip, the Ambassador arranged and organized a working delegation with Azerbaijani businesses to visit Ha Giang province to organize a conference. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duc Quy hopes that the Ambassador himself, as well as the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Vietnam and Azerbaijani businesses will have a frank exchange to promote the expansion of cooperation in areas where both sides have potential and strengths; at the same time, create the most favorable conditions for businesses of both sides to explore investment and cooperation opportunities in areas of interest.

Speaking at the conference, Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizada thanked Ha Giang province for organizing the conference to facilitate connections between businesses of both sides. The Ambassador hoped that businesses of both sides would openly provide market information and future development orientations. In addition, he hoped that in the coming time, Azerbaijani businesses would find investment opportunities in Ha Giang province... For long-term cooperation, the Ambassador hoped that both sides would discuss specific steps.

Based on the suggested contents, businesses of both sides exchanged, discussed, and learned more about the country, people, culture, history, potential strengths, investment and business opportunities. In particular, the Azerbaijan Women Entrepreneurs Development Association expressed its desire to cooperate in economic development with the Provincial Women's Union and women-owned enterprises in Ha Giang province in areas such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, education, technology, etc. From there, businesses of both sides can find a common voice, creating a premise for long-term, sustainable cooperation in the coming time, while deepening the relationship between the People's Committee of Ha Giang province and the Embassy of Azerbaijan.

During the visit and work in Ha Giang province, on May 12, the delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Vietnam will continue to visit and give gifts at a number of schools in Bac Me district.
