BHG - Provincial Youth Activity Center is a facility for children across the province to participate in skills, cultural and sports activities. Every summer, this also becomes an ideal meeting place for children to practice skills, have fun, and develop comprehensively in terms of physical, mental and talent.
Summer is not only a vacation but also a "golden" time for children to develop comprehensively in terms of intelligence, physical strength and emotions. Therefore, for many years, the family of Hoang Huyen Anh, a student at Kim Dong Primary School, Ha Giang City, has chosen to participate in gifted classes at the Center to practice. Huyen Anh shared: "I really like drawing, so every summer my family lets me participate in advanced art classes at the Center. Here, the teacher teaches me how to sketch, mix colors, draw landscapes, portraits, etc. I also make many new friends and feel much more confident, I am very excited about every class."

Ms. Tran Thi Thoa, a teacher of fine arts at the Center, shared: As a teacher of basic painting, I focus on developing individual abilities and awakening children's hidden talents; many children who are exposed to fine arts for the first time have shown outstanding talents. Through the lessons, I focus on building lessons to help students understand thematic paintings, still life paintings, drawing from models, decoration... In addition, I practice creativity, skillfully drawing on different materials, creating shapes from scrap materials to create paintings and decorative items.
In the summer of 2025, the Center will enroll students in short-term talent classes to create a healthy, safe and useful playground for children and adolescents. Deputy Director of the Center Vuong Thi Diem Hang said: Currently, we have opened 14 gifted classes with over 100 students participating in the course, including 2 new subjects: soccer and practicing being a child MC, attracting many students to participate. In the context of children being easily influenced by technology and lacking real playgrounds, organizing gifted classes is part of the Center's long-term orientation to create a positive, healthy and safe living environment for children and adolescents. The organization of subjects is regularly innovated to attract and meet the diverse needs and interests of children. In particular, teachers are assigned to teach with rich experience, expertise and dedication to children. Thereby, the Center promptly discovers and nurtures children with outstanding talents to orient their long-term development, contributing to the art movement and the work of the Team.

In addition to the talent programs, the Center organizes many other useful activities such as: Folk and intellectual games; opening sports tournaments, competitions between talent classes; propaganda, weekly life skills education on the topics: Children's Law; prevention of abuse, drowning accidents, eliminating bad customs; border sovereignty, traffic safety. In addition, the library reading room is open from Monday to Friday every week. These activities have created an environment to help children practice independent thinking and community responsibility. According to the Center's assessment, after each course, the children are more confident and bold in communication and performance; some children have gone from being shy to becoming the artistic nucleus of the class. Many parents also responded positively when they saw their children change, especially reducing their worries about control and being influenced by excessive electronic devices and social networks.
With many diverse activities, the Provincial Youth Activity Center is gradually affirming its role as an out-of-school cultural and educational institution with special significance during the summer vacation. With serious investment and scientific organization, the summer becomes more meaningful, creating a colorful childhood space for children.
