Dong Van district has 19 communes and towns, home to 18 ethnic groups. Hidden in each land are long-standing cultural and historical values and unique nature like "rough gems" waiting to be awakened. In order for tourism to become a key economic sector, the district is constantly creating, innovating, promoting existing potential and strengths, concretizing them with effective programs and policies. Accordingly, in addition to continuing to exploit tourism potential at a number of tourist destinations and relic sites such as: Vuong's Palace; Dong Van Ancient Town; Lung Cu National Flagpole... the district also issued a plan on managing cultural tourism villages and highlights serving tourism development. At the same time, a project is being developed to develop new tourist destinations such as Sao Ha village, Van Chai commune. In 2025, it is expected to complete 2 more tourist highlights including: Lung Phin Street Experience Area associated with tea tasting; tourist attraction of the living museum of the Mong people in Giang Si Tung village, Thai Phin Tung commune. From there, the total number of tourist attractions increased to 25 points.
Sung La Commune is famous for the Lung Cam Tren Cultural Tourism Village, where Pao's house is located. In 2025, in addition to organizing activities to welcome guests in the cultural village area, the commune successfully organized the Peach Blossom Festival in Lao Xa Village, welcoming nearly 3,000 visitors to visit and experience. Comrade Ly Thi Chien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Sung La Commune, said: Tourists know Sung La when mentioning the place name of Pao's house, Lung Cam Tren Village. However, the commune has many other places with untapped tourism potential. There are many villages and hamlets with traditional culture and wonderful experiences. In particular, Lao Xa is a village of the Mong people with beautiful terrain, climate and scenery, especially in the spring, when Peach blossoms bloom in the area, blending with the extremely beautiful yin-yang tiled roofs. Therefore, this year, we organized the Peach Blossom Festival in Lao Xa Village to create a new tourism product for the locality. Thereby, contributing to promoting tourism, creating attraction and novelty for tourists when coming to Sung La.

Comrade Nguyen Van Chinh, Vice Chairman of Dong Van District People's Committee said: In the context of the tourism industry changing towards the experience trend, to develop sustainable tourism, arousing and promoting tourism potential in localities is not only an opportunity but also an important task. Thereby, helping to diversify tourism products, contributing to creating livelihoods for people, preserving traditional culture and developing the economy in a harmonious way. Especially arousing pride, awareness of preserving and developing regional identity. When each locality knows how to take advantage of and honor its own potential, tourism will not only be a key economic sector but also a cultural bridge, a driving force for sustainable and comprehensive development. However, to fully promote the value, potential and advantages, the district has been promoting propaganda, creating consensus among the government, people and businesses. From there, each land of Dong Van district can become a memorable destination on the tourism map of the province and the world .
Dong Van, a place with peaceful villages, still has great untapped tourism potential. Each region has its own unique features, from majestic natural scenery to unique indigenous culture. Awakening and promoting existing strengths, awakening "sleeping" villages, and turning potential into advantages will create a driving force to boost the local economy, contributing positively to sustainable poverty reduction in the homeland.
