Attending the meeting were Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh, leaders of ministries, branches, Hanoi People's Committee and relevant agencies.
At the meeting, after listening to the representative of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism report on the exploitation of My Dinh National Stadium, and the opinions of relevant ministries and branches, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to absorb the opinions of ministries, branches and agencies to complete the report, in which it must clarify each group of issues, which issues are under the authority of the Complex, of ministries and branches, to what extent they have been resolved, which issues have not been resolved yet, the objective and subjective causes and propose a solution, and send it to the Government Standing Committee for comments this June.
At the same time, coordinate with Hanoi City and relevant ministries and branches to supplement, complete and adjust appropriate planning.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to specify the Strategy for the development of Vietnam's physical training and sports until 2030, with a vision to 2045, and at the same time advise on planning and accompanying mechanisms and policies, in order to have effective facilities, attract investors, increase frequency of use, and annually organize major regional and world sports activities.
Regarding the plan for the coming time, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, based on the Law on Public Asset Management, the Law on Public Investment, new decrees, etc., to coordinate with ministries and branches to develop a project to effectively exploit the works in the Complex, report to the Prime Minister for instructions, clearly stating which ones they manage and which ones need public-private partnership, thereby proposing specific plans to ensure efficiency in public asset management and avoid waste.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested that there must be movement and change in resolving the backlog of work related to the exploitation of My Dinh National Stadium and the National Sports Complex, and there must be a specific report (with a project, explanation and feasibility) and proposed solutions for upcoming work.
In addition to giving opinions on the review and assessment of the effectiveness of using land funds for association purposes, the Deputy Prime Minister also noted the need to periodically inspect, maintain and ensure the safety of the My Dinh National Stadium in accordance with regulations to avoid deterioration, because this is a national project, symbolic in nature, serving physical education and sports activities, major national events and the physical education and sports movement for the people.
