Enhancing the promotion of Phan Thiet City's image.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City, Phan Nguyen Hoang Tan, has just signed and issued the Plan for implementing the city's external information work in 2024.

One of the key objectives of the city's external information work is to improve the quality of propaganda and promotion of Vietnam's stable, safe, and attractive investment environment, highlighting its many outstanding potentials and advantages, both in general and in Phan Thiet province and city in particular, to domestic and foreign organizations and individuals. This aims to attract investment, develop the city's economy , and promote deeper international integration.

Agricultural and seafood products from Phan Thiet City, in the province, are showcased at trade fairs and exhibitions both domestically and internationally.

Accordingly, the focus will be on promoting the image of Phan Thiet, publicizing the results of improving the investment and business environment, enhancing the PCI, PAR INDEX, PAPI, SIPAS indices, and the city's digital transformation achievements. This includes highlighting Phan Thiet's historical and cultural values, its potential and strengths in tourism development, and promoting key and distinctive products. Activities will also focus on building and developing cooperative relationships, promoting investment, and fostering cultural and economic exchanges to enhance understanding, friendship, trust, and cooperation with international partners, contributing to attracting investment, promoting socio-economic development, and building strong relationships between the city and the international community. Information on foreign affairs will be integrated with investment promotion, trade, tourism, cultural activities, and people-to-people diplomacy to promote the potential, strengths, and opportunities for economic, cultural, and social development, and to boost trade with other localities.

Simultaneously, implement external information activities in accordance with Conclusion No. 57-KL/TW of the Politburo "On continuing to improve the quality and effectiveness of external information work in the new situation" and Plan No. 197-KH/TU dated October 27, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee on the implementation of this Conclusion…

The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested that city departments and agencies effectively implement the Plan. He assigned the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department to coordinate with relevant agencies in providing and sharing information; directing and guiding unified, synchronized, and timely external information, especially on important and sensitive issues of public concern. He also instructed the organization of press briefings to ensure uniformity, synchronization, and effectiveness in guiding, monitoring, inspecting, and enhancing the effectiveness of external information activities in the city. Furthermore, he directed the work of guiding and disseminating information to counter false and distorted narratives about border sovereignty, sea and islands; issues of public concern both domestically and internationally, especially the East Sea - islands, religion, ethnicity, democracy, human rights, and false information affecting the reputation of the city and other related organizations.

The Economic Department coordinates and proposes that businesses in the city participate in exhibitions and trade fairs with countries in the region. Through these events, they can introduce and promote the economic potential and strengths, develop goods and brands of businesses, and showcase the city's advantageous products to countries around the world, at the invitation of trade promotion organizations.
