Binh Thuan proposes to invest 9,600 billion to build Phan Thiet coastal road

Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee considered the proposal of the Project Management Board for investment in construction of traffic works to plan a coastal route through Phan Thiet City with a total route length of 14.6 km.

According to the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Traffic Works of Binh Thuan Province (MBP), the coastal road of Binh Thuan Province has recently received investment attention from the Central Government and the Provincial People's Committee.

Up to now, many sections have been put into operation, such as: Lien Huong - Binh Thanh section; Song Luy bridge - Hoa Thang section; DT.706B; DT.706B - Hung Vuong bridge; DT.719 Ke Ga - Tan Thien section and the section through La Gi town. Construction of DT.719B Phan Thiet - Ke Ga section and Hon Lan - Tan Hai section is underway...

However, investment in building coastal roads in the central area of Phan Thiet City in recent times has been very limited. Most tourism projects occupy the entire sea space, the area of beaches and coastal parks for public use is very small. Some narrow coastal traffic areas do not ensure traffic safety and fire prevention and fighting, greatly affecting people's lives, causing loss of urban beauty.

The Project Management Board believes that it is very necessary to supplement the planning and investment in the construction of the central coastal road of Phan Thiet City, combined with supplementing coastal land funds, forming a modern, airy coastal park, creating a highlight and symbol for the city.

On that basis, the Project Management Board proposed to plan the coastal route through Phan Thiet City with the starting point connecting to the roundabout of DT.706B road, Phu Hai ward; the end point intersecting with DT.719 road at Cambodia slope, Tien Thanh commune. The total length of the route is about 14.6 km.

The project has a total investment of about 9,624 billion VND. In the phase (2026 - 2030), the first section of the route to the end of Doi Duong Park (section 1, section 2, section 3 and Phu Hai bridge) will be invested; in the phase (2031 - 2035), the remaining sections will be invested (section 4, section 5 and Ca Ty river overpass).

Regarding the proposal, Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, agreed on the necessity, preliminary plan of the coastal route through Phan Thiet City, the plan of Ca Ty River overpass and Phu Hai River overpass, implementation solutions...

According to Mr. Hai, the Project Management Board needs to receive comments from relevant agencies, complete the proposed plan for the coastal route through Phan Thiet City and report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration.

“Focus on reviewing the two clearance positions of the Phu Hai River overpass and the Ca Ty River overpass; reviewing the land fund that can be auctioned in this area and the auctioned land fund of Phan Thiet City; calculating the traffic system connecting this area; the amount of sand to implement the project,” Mr. Hai directed.
