Synchronously implement solutions
Implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation as well as the school year's tasks, from the 2025-2026 school year, Giang Vo Secondary School (Giang Vo Ward, Hanoi City) deployed the "Google Digital Classroom" model. Teacher To Thi Hai Yen, Principal of the school, said: Over the years, the school has constantly strived to improve, affirming its position and quality of education not only at the ward level but also in the education sector of Hanoi and the whole country. Specifically, the rate of students with good and excellent academic performance is high; many students won high prizes in national and international competitions and were directly admitted or passed the entrance exam to specialized high schools.
With the “Google Digital Classroom”, the school hopes to improve the quality of key education, promote the qualities and abilities of students according to the 2018 general education program, aiming to become global digital citizens. All students of the three “key” 6th grade classes (Literature, Math and English) participating in digital classes are equipped with tablets to study through the teaching and supervision of trained and certified teachers. From the 2026-2027 school year and the following school years, based on the actual situation, the school plans to replicate the “Google Digital Classroom” model, aiming to build a “Google Digital School”.
In Ninh Binh province, the key education of Truong Han Sieu Secondary School (Hoa Lu ward) has always been maintained at the top of the province. Teacher Trinh Thi Van Khanh, Principal of the school, shared: The quality of the school's key education can be most easily recognized through the entrance exam to grade 10 and the excellent student exams at the provincial, national and international levels. In the entrance exam to grade 10 high school in 2025, the school continued to achieve impressive results when it ranked first in the province in terms of average scores in the subjects. In the work of nurturing excellent students, a typical student is Nguyen Khanh Phuc, who has won many national and international awards. For many consecutive years (from the 2021-2022 school year to the 2024-2025 school year) as a junior high school student, Phuc continuously won the Gold Medal of the US Mathematics Competition, the Gold Medal of the Singapore and Asian Mathematics Olympiad - SASMO, the Gold Medal of the MWB Borderless Mathematics Olympiad and many first prizes in Mathematics and Informatics at the provincial and national levels.

The results achieved are thanks to the good implementation of a number of synchronous and long-term solutions in improving the quality of education...
Affirming international position
In 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training celebrated 80 years of education tradition with many remarkable achievements. In the field of quality management, the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) advised the Minister and the industry to successfully organize many key tasks. Notably, the 2025 high school graduation exam - the first exam under the 2018 general education program - was organized professionally, safely, seriously and objectively. The quality of key education continues to be affirmed through national, regional and international exams. In 2025, Vietnam had 7 student delegations participating in regional and international Olympic exams with 37 contestants winning medals, including 13 gold medals, 16 silver medals and eight bronze medals. All teams were in the Top 10 leading countries in terms of the number of gold medals; every participating team won a gold medal. Compared to 2024, this year's achievement increased by one gold medal.
Professor, Dr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management, said that the Ministry of Education and Training highly appreciated the attention of departments and localities in the work of discovering and nurturing excellent students; the efforts of students and teachers. The Department of Quality Management continues to advise, implement, and accompany to create a useful and fair scientific playground for all students with a passion for science to develop their abilities and strengths. In the coming time, the competition for excellent students will be adjusted to create opportunities for many students to participate, regardless of specialized or non-specialized schools; the content of the competition closely follows the 2018 general education program.
In recent times, the Department of Quality Management has been the focal point for advising and organizing students nationwide to participate in many large-scale assessment programs implemented by prestigious international organizations such as OECD and SEAMEO, in accordance with the integration commitments of the Government and the Ministry of Education and Training. The results achieved in these programs are all quite high, contributing to affirming the quality of education in Vietnam. The PISA 2022 results are a typical example. This is considered one of the bright spots of Vietnam in the eyes of the international community, demonstrating outstanding educational efficiency compared to investment resources.
Besides PISA, at the primary level, Vietnam participated in SEA-PLM for the first time in 2019 and excelled in all three areas: Reading, Writing and Mathematics among the 6 participating ASEAN countries. In 2024, Vietnam will continue to participate and the preliminary results show that it will maintain its leading position in all three areas, the official results will be announced in the near future.
Along with that, Vietnam is also implementing a large-scale assessment program for students in grades 5, 9, and 11 on teaching and learning (TALIS) organized by OECD. To achieve these results, the Ministry of Education and Training continues to promote training for teachers to master and apply assessment methods according to regional and international standards; guide students to practice competency assessment exercises to stimulate intelligence and maximize creativity.
The implementation of large-scale assessment programs provides important information on teaching and learning activities and related conditions of general education, thereby providing policy recommendations on teaching, testing and assessment, contributing to improving the quality of education, aiming at developing students' capacity.
