In the 2024-2025 school year, Thai Nguyen University continues to affirm its position as one of the leading training centers in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region, with a large training scale, increasingly improved quality, especially focusing on comprehensive care for learners.

With a total student population of 82,305, Thai Nguyen University is currently one of the largest regional universities in the country. Of these, 51,901 are full-time undergraduate students, 11,718 are part-time students, 12,333 are distance learning students, 3,112 are postgraduate students, and 840 are graduate students, resident physicians, and specialists.

In particular, the University currently has 606 international students from many countries, affirming its reputation and attraction in international educational cooperation and integration.

In addition to expanding the scale, the quality of training is constantly improved. Thai Nguyen University focuses on innovating training programs, developing teaching staff, modernizing facilities and increasing the application of digital technology in management and teaching.

Identifying political and ideological education as a core and consistent task in the work of learners, in the 2024-2025 school year, Thai Nguyen University organized 61 activities to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. Through the activities, a group and 494 individuals were recognized for their outstanding achievements.

Building a friendly learning environment

At the same time, the work of developing the Party among students continued to achieve positive results. 360 excellent students were admitted to the Party, and more than 1,000 students attended classes to foster awareness of the Party. This is an important source of supplement for the young Party members, contributing to building a clean and strong Party organization in the school.

Extracurricular activities and sports are always organized by Thai Nguyen University, creating a healthy playground and comprehensive development for students. During the past school year, the whole University organized 78 sports tournaments with the participation of a large number of students. The system of 59 sports clubs operates regularly, becoming an environment for physical training, strengthening solidarity and developing students' talents.

In the 2024-2025 school year, more than 5,300 students received scholarships to encourage learning; 8,804 students received social benefits; 5,760 students received support for learning costs; 12,158 students received tuition exemptions or reductions, and 110 students with disabilities received preferential policies.

All policies and regimes are public, transparent, and ensure the right beneficiaries. This is not only practical financial support but also an important source of spiritual encouragement, helping students feel secure in studying and practicing.

For Thai Nguyen University Branch in Ha Giang province, supporting students, especially those from ethnic minorities, poor households, and remote areas, is always a top priority. Currently, the Branch is training more than 1,700 full-time university students. Policies and regimes are implemented in accordance with procedures, fully and promptly. The unit widely announces plans, guides students in preparing documents, receives feedback and organizes public review in accordance with the regulations of the Party, the State and Thai Nguyen University.

In the 2023-2024 school year, students of the Branch have enjoyed full support from tuition fee exemption, support for study and living expenses, to social allowances and scholarships to encourage learning. This is a testament to the school's comprehensive concern in ensuring fairness in education and training high-quality human resources for the locality.

Currently, Thai Nguyen University continues to promote the application of digital transformation in management, consulting and extracurricular activities. From the 2025-2026 school year, processes related to student records, information, support activities, in-patient and out-patient management, immigration, etc. will be digitized synchronously to increase management efficiency and create favorable conditions for learners.

At the same time, the University also focuses on building a friendly, green, clean and beautiful learning environment, ensuring security, order and safety of the school. Primary health care, health insurance, and management of international students are also carried out seriously, synchronously and effectively.
