With over 2,000 miles of coastline, top-notch street food, leafy beaches, bustling cities and leisurely cruises along the Mekong River, Vietnam has a distinct appeal.

Now, it is even easier for international tourists to come to Vietnam because airlines always open flexible and convenient flights.

With the easing of visa-free stay restrictions for British tourists from 15 days to 45 days in August, British magazine Travel Weekly believes that Vietnam will be a favorite destination for tourists in 2024.

Many attractive new hotels

The perfect destination for a relaxing getaway is the luxurious Azerai Ke Ga Bay resort, which opened in June 2023. The hotel’s luxurious suites and pool villas are located on a three-mile stretch of beach on Vietnam’s southeast coast.

A two-and-a-half-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City via the expressway and set to open in early 2024, guests to the resort can enjoy yoga and meditation sessions, soak in one of four pools, and experience personalized spa treatments.

Meanwhile, travelers looking for a romantic getaway on the island will definitely want to check out La Festa Phu Quoc. The Curio Collection by Hilton hotel is a new resort masterpiece in the heart of Hoang Hon Town, Phu Quoc. Curio Collection by Hilton opened on December 21, 2023 on the west coast of Phu Quoc – nicknamed ‘Pearl Island’ for its sparkling sands.

Curio Collection by Hilton promises to bring "a taste of the Amalfi coast to Vietnam" with Italian-inspired design, from rooms overlooking a private beach and stunning sunset views.

Additionally, if cultural immersion is a top priority, guests will love the location of Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai – close to the riverside city of Hoi An, My Son Sanctuary and the ancient capital of Hue .

The hotel also offers excursions to these locations. Other activities such as cooking academy and lantern making cultural experiences are also quite impressive.

Attractive Southeast Asia Tour

Adventure travel company Intrepid Travel is now focusing on reducing the carbon footprint of its tours, so the company has adapted its 15-day Scenic Vietnam itinerary to include two overnight trains, replacing domestic flights.

Scenic Vietnam is an exciting tour that takes visitors from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. Along the way, you will discover the beauty of Da Bac district (Hoa Binh), Cat Ba, Hue, Hoi An, Quy Nhon and the Mekong Delta.

In addition to reducing the carbon footprint, the new route will include a stop in Quy Nhon, where visitors will have the added experience of visiting a traditional Vietnamese martial arts family. The family’s owner will tell visitors about training secrets and health benefits before and after the demonstration.

In addition, Exodus Adventure Travels recently announced that it will launch the "Hidden Vietnam: Sa Pa & Beyond" tour in 2024. This experience will take visitors to explore more about the local life in an ethnic village in the Sapa hills, visit the pristine Lan Ha Bay and the famous Cat Ba Island.

Meanwhile, G Adventures has launched the Geluxe Collection, a new style of travel that offers customers the opportunity to get active, stay in one-of-a-kind accommodations, enjoy authentic experiences, meet communities and learn about local cultures.

Experience cruise tourism in Vietnam

Travel company Wendy Wu Tours recently noted that demand for river cruises in Southeast Asia will increase by 2024. As a result, the company has launched a collection of cruises for customers who want to combine adventure with relaxation.

Wendy Wu Tours’ Magical Mekong Cruise & Beach cruise on Victoria Mekong features a 7-night experience on the Victoria Mekong River – sailing from Kampong Cham in Cambodia to southern Vietnam.

Four cruises will stop in Vietnam, including three sailings from Bangkok and one from Mumbai. Land excursions will include the ancient capital of Hue, the capital city of Hanoi and Nha Trang, a beautiful beach resort known for its fresh seafood.

For a shorter adventure and useful add-ons, Vietnam's Ambassador Cruises also offers a 2- or 3-day itinerary exploring the limestone karsts of Lan Ha Bay.

The luxury ship features 39 cabins, a sun deck, restaurant, piano lounge, bar and spa. With so many plans for Vietnam travel in 2024, adventures to Vietnam could easily make it onto travelers’ Christmas lists this year./.
