On the morning of June 27, 2024, Hoa Sen Group (Vietnam) and SP Group (Singapore) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement on sustainable development of clean energy at Hoa Sen Group's factories nationwide.
Determining that sustainable development must be associated with environmental protection and the conversion to clean energy is a very important part of Hoa Sen Group's long-term sustainable development strategy, while contributing to the country's common goal of net zero emissions by 2050 in Vietnam.
Accordingly, SP Group will be the consulting unit for the conversion to clean energy use, investment solutions for power grid infrastructure, cooling systems and energy saving solutions, along with other projects at Hoa Sen Group's infrastructure and factories nationwide.
Previously, Hoa Sen Group had deployed rooftop solar power installations at some of Hoa Sen Group's factories with a total capacity of 13.4 MWp. The signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between Hoa Sen Group and SP Group marks another important milestone for Hoa Sen Group in demonstrating its corporate responsibility to the environment, promoting the use of clean energy for production activities, helping Hoa Sen Group reduce greenhouse gas emissions, meeting mandatory green standards according to new global trends, especially in international markets with high requirements on product emissions such as Europe, the US, etc.
In the future, Hoa Sen Group will continue to research, invest and exploit clean energy sources at Hoa Sen Group’s warehouses, branches and stores nationwide. When the project is implemented, it will greatly contribute to optimizing the company’s electricity costs and protecting the environment.

In addition to using clean energy sources, Hoa Sen Group has invested in research and implementation of many solutions, applying new technologies with the aim of managing and using energy economically and effectively, thereby reducing production costs, increasing product competitiveness, contributing to improving production and business efficiency.
The Group also proactively organizes training, coaching, and propaganda to raise awareness of effective energy management and environmental protection for all employees in the company. In addition, the Group has deployed and completed greenhouse gas inventories at galvanized steel factories nationwide, fully meeting the requirements and achieving ISO 14064-1:2018 certification on greenhouse gas inventories at enterprises. Along with that, the Group also completed carbon tracing on nearly 20 Hoa Sen Steel product lines according to ISO 14067:2018.
