Loc Troi Group sets 3 new records

Loc Troi Group Joint Stock Company (UPCoM: LTG) has just announced the establishment of 3 Vietnamese records, recognized and announced by the Vietnam Record Organization at the Vietnam International Rice Industry Festival - Hau Giang 2023.

The records include: The first enterprise in Vietnam to achieve SRP 100 certification for four consecutive years from 2020 to 2023 for applying the SRP sustainable rice farming standard; the enterprise with the largest number of SRP trainers in Vietnam (125 people); and the enterprise with the largest total area of linked rice production in Vietnam in 2024 (256,000 hectares), bringing the total number of Vietnamese records held by the group to four .

Having spent 30 years fulfilling its mission of "Developing sustainably with farmers," Loc Troi is now a leading agricultural service group in Vietnam, with an increasingly complete agricultural ecosystem to implement a sustainable, high-quality rice production value chain from seed to grain, capable of supplying millions of tons of rice annually to domestic and international markets.

Actively contributing to the development of green agriculture in Vietnam, since 2015, Loc Troi has joined the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP), applying sustainable rice farming processes. The SRP standard aims to: improve livelihoods for smallholder farmers, reduce the social, environmental, and climatic impacts of rice production, and ensure a sustainable supply in the face of increasing global demand for rice.

To date, Loc Troi is the only company in the world to have achieved SRP100 certification, and has done so for four consecutive years from 2020 to 2023. This forms the basis of the record "The first enterprise in Vietnam to achieve SRP 100 certification for four consecutive years from 2020 to 2023 for applying the SRP sustainable rice farming standard".

Along with applying the SRP farming process on tens of thousands of hectares, Loc Troi collaborated with the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) to organize training for 125 " SRP Authorized Trainers" from 2019 to 2022. Upon completion of this course, these individuals were officially recognized as international SRP trainers and could directly train farmers participating in the SRP100 model .

SRP Authorized Trainer members are the core force in deploying Loc Troi's raw material areas, in line with the direction of sustainable agricultural development, minimizing environmental impact and ensuring livelihoods for farmers.

Lộc Trời's determination to implement the SRP model for Vietnamese rice paddies and its willingness to invest in professional personnel has earned it the record for "The company with the most SRP Authorized Trainers in Vietnam".

The record for "The enterprise with the largest total area of rice production linkage zones in Vietnam in 2024 (256,000 hectares)" was achieved through the efforts and determination of the group. Accordingly, Loc Troi and its staff have always received the trust, confidence, and support of farmers and government authorities at all levels in large-scale production linkage activities.

At the announcement ceremony, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Loc Troi Group, Huynh Van Thon, expressed his joy: “Today, I and the Loc Troi team are very happy to have set three new records. Previously, to fulfill the group's mission, we started building a team of 3 Together – eating together, living together, working together – to wholeheartedly support and help farmers access scientific farming techniques so they can manage their crops most effectively.”

Mr. Thon shared that, from just 12 core members in 2006, by 2015, they had grown into a large team of agricultural technicians and were recognized in the record "Largest Force of Farmers Working in the Fields in Vietnam" – 1,200 people – by the Vietnam Record Organization (VietKings) on August 23, 2015, the 22nd anniversary of Loc Troi.
