Bao Thang Regional Medical Center has just organized training for local medical staff on environmental treatment, water resources and disease prevention during and after storms and floods.

Accordingly, 25 trainees who are grassroots health workers were trained in disease prevention after floods such as: diarrhea, dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease...; treatment of contaminated domestic water with chloramine B, alum, rough filtration; collection of waste, animal carcasses and quick environmental sanitation at households, schools and first aid skills for trauma.

Students are reinforced with knowledge of disease prevention after floods.

In addition, students are also equipped with knowledge on ensuring food safety and personal hygiene in areas affected by natural disasters; communication work in the community, instructing people on how to protect their health and monitor early signs of disease.
