The author also devoted many pages to writing about the people who have worked hard to revive traditional costumes, traditional materials, traditional garment villages, etc., bringing them back to life in modern life.

Sharing about this book, author Do Quang Tuan Hoang said: “Vietnam has 54 ethnic groups with more than 100 groups and branches. Residing in diverse ecological environments has given rise to unique indigenous knowledge in each ethnic group. The indigenous culture of a community is most vividly expressed in weaving, embroidery, and painting patterns on costumes.”

According to the author, along with food, clothing most clearly reflects the material and spiritual life of a nation, ethnic group, or individual. Hidden behind fabrics, costumes, and jewelry is a fascinating history of humanity.

The book “Vietnam – Casual Dressing” consists of 2 parts. Part 1 “National memories on patterns and costumes” takes readers to explore Cham brocade, Van Phuc silk, Nam Cao linen weaving, Phung Xa silk weaving, K'ho patterns on the streets, Trach Xa ao dai, Lo Lo costumes, Quan Ho costumes, national memories on costume patterns, unique customs related to costumes…

Part 2 “Jewelry and accessories” introduces Chuong village hats, Phung Nguyen gems, ancient Hue shoes, Churu rings, Dinh Cong silver craft or the person who brought Vietnamese buttons to the world fashion village…
