The afternoon of September 22 was an emotional afternoon for many Trinh Cong Son music lovers, when they witnessed the stone stele engraved with the lyrics of the song "Joining Hands" erected on the Perfume River. The stele, which is quite large in size and weighs 21 tons, was engraved with each word by artisans in the Non Nuoc stone craft village (Da Nang). Along with the title, music and lyrics, the late musician's signature was also solemnly displayed.

Researcher Nguyen Dac Xuan, Chairman of the Hue Cultural Heritage Research and Development Association, acknowledged that Trinh Cong Son's musical career originated and developed strongly in Hue before spreading to many places. According to Mr. Xuan, many documents indicate that after April 30, 1975, the song was played on Saigon Radio.

After nearly half a century, "Joining Hands" continues to resonate in community events, concerts... Not only in Vietnam, this song also carries a message of global peace , connecting people.

“Mr. Son has returned to Hue through a street name, a statue and now a stone stele of the song "Joining Hands"… The street named after Trinh Cong Son is the heart of the people of Hue, the statue and stone stele are the feelings of friends and the public for him. What Hue and friends have for Mr. Son is so deep and beautiful,” the late musician’s sister confided.

Also in the poetic late afternoon weather right at Trinh Cong Son park, next to the Huong Giang river, famous songs of the late musician Trinh Cong Son were once again played through the saxophone of artist Tran Manh Tuan, the voices of singers Duc Tuan, Tan Son, Ha Le... and Trinh music fans.
