Urgently repair the damage on National Highway 1 through Hue City

HNN.VN - After the recent prolonged floods, many sections of the road surface on National Highway 1 through Hue City have been severely damaged and degraded, causing unsafe conditions for people and vehicles.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh inspected the field and reviewed reports of damaged points along the entire route.

Faced with that reality, on November 6 and 7, Standing Committee member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh directly inspected and directed the remedial work.

Through inspection of the entire National Highway 1 from Km 791 + 500 to Km 817 + 600 and the Hue bypass from Km 0 to Km 6 + 290 passing through 4 wards of Phong Dien, Phong Thai, Huong Tra and Kim Tra, it was found that after the recent floods, many shortcomings appeared on the route, many large potholes, severe damage, and potential traffic safety risks.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh requested that functional forces urgently put up warning signs, arrange police forces to regulate vehicle speed, and operate the lighting system from 5 p.m. every day to ensure traffic safety at night.

At the same time, it is recommended that localities along the route strengthen propaganda and remind people to participate in traffic carefully to avoid unfortunate accidents; request Trung Phuong Company Limited (BOT investor), Phuoc Tuong Joint Stock Company, Phu Gia, Road Management Office II.5, etc. to take advantage of the clear weather to promptly organize and thoroughly fix damaged and inadequate locations to ensure smooth and safe traffic for people.
