The Department of Education and Training has requested high schools with students participating in the training to coordinate well with parents to encourage them both mentally and materially, helping them feel secure and excited about studying. At the same time, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Nam Nha Trang Ward) is requested to create the most favorable conditions in terms of food, accommodation, learning conditions... for students from far away. The learning results of these students will be sent to the main school for evaluation and classification according to regulations.

However, thanks to the openness and encouragement of teachers and friends, I gradually got used to and integrated. I was given favorable conditions for accommodation in the dormitory, supported with lunch money and received a lot of care and encouragement mentally. I will try to study hard to achieve good results in the upcoming exam.”
Focus on improving the quality of training
According to Ms. Dang Ngoc Le Thy - Principal of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Nam Nha Trang Ward), in recent years, the national exam for excellent students has not only increased its scientific content, academic and specialized nature, but also approached current issues of the world in the 4.0 era. Therefore, in addition to organizing training for excellent students at the school, the school advises superiors and directs subject groups to promote the building and development of the academic community through joint learning with other specialized schools; studying with professors and leading experts of the department from universities and research institutes; connecting with former students who won high prizes in the national exam for excellent students. The learning methods are diverse and flexible, from in-person to online, combining the training of research skills and self-study for students.
Ms. Huynh Diem Hong Thu - Literature team teacher said: "The students in the team were carefully selected through two rounds of examination, including many who won prizes in the national excellent student selection exam last year, and at the same time there are new faces with great potential. This year in particular, the Literature team has 1 10th grade student, bringing a "new breeze", creating momentum in learning. The Literature team has advocated innovating teaching methods, approaching many new topics, encouraging students to express their creativity and diverse approaches to problems. In addition to equipping students with knowledge, teachers also focus on understanding their thoughts and feelings, especially those in remote areas, creating connections and a fun, close atmosphere, helping them have a comfortable spirit to study effectively."
This school year, due to the merger of provinces, the number of students in the national excellent student teams has increased compared to previous years. Therefore, the goals and expectations for the achievements in the exam are also higher. “In the national excellent high school student exam for the 2024-2025 school year, the province has 65 prizes out of a total of 148 contestants, including 1 first prize, 10 second prizes, 31 third prizes and 23 consolation prizes. The provincial education sector hopes that in this school year, the province's excellent student team will continue to achieve many high achievements, maintaining its position in the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions,” said Mr. Nguyen Duc Son.
