Focus on speeding up the implementation of key projects...

On the morning of March 28, the Steering Committee for implementing key projects in the province held a conference to listen to progress reports and discuss solutions to remove difficulties for key projects and works.

Comrades: Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee; Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee chaired the conference. Comrades members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, members of the Steering Committee and leaders of Party committees and authorities of some districts and cities attended the conference.

The conference heard reports on the implementation of key projects of the province, including: the project to develop new urban housing areas in Tan Binh commune and Tien Phong ward; the project to develop residential housing in Dong Hoa commune ( Thai Binh city); the project of the central urban area along Tra Ly river in Le Hong Phong ward and Bo Xuyen ward, Thai Binh city; the project of Thai Binh LNG Thermal Power Plant.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the conference.

Delegates focused on discussing and clarifying the causes of difficulties and obstacles related to land, site clearance, some investment procedures for construction works, etc., and at the same time discussed and proposed solutions to remove them and promote the progress of project implementation.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee, acknowledged the efforts of all levels and sectors in implementing key projects. He also pointed out that key projects are being implemented with progress, some projects are behind schedule, not meeting expectations. The Provincial Party Committee Secretary requested the members of the Steering Committee and the Steering Committee's Support Team to be more determined, more drastic, more urgent, and proactive in coordinating more closely to effectively implement projects and works, closely following the time schedule of each project and each specific part of the work to be implemented.

All levels and sectors must promote the sense of responsibility of each level, each sector and each individual for the development of the province. Departments, sectors and localities must coordinate closely, synchronously and effectively in both directing and supporting, removing difficulties, especially in site clearance and investment procedures to effectively implement key projects in the province. The Provincial People's Committee must be more proactive and resolute in urging and grasping the direction with specific results; regularly update and report on the progress of each project.
