Focus on removing difficulties and creating consensus to implement wind power projects on schedule

On the morning of September 8, in Dong Hai commune, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had a working session, listening to a report on the implementation of compensation, support and resettlement when the State reclaimed land to implement the Duyen Hai wind power plant project.

The wind power project started in 2017 with a total investment of VND2,116 billion and a capacity of 48MW. This is a key project, significant in the development of renewable energy, contributing to the restructuring and economic growth of the province.

At the meeting, representatives of the leaders of the three communes of Dong Hai, Long Thanh and Ngu Lac informed about the implementation of compensation, support and resettlement in the locality, and proposed implementation plans in the coming time. Currently, the project's site clearance work has reached 70%.

Mr. Mai Dinh Nhat - Director of Duyen Hai Wind Power Joint Stock Company informed about the project progress.

The project still faces difficulties in land procedures, compensation disbursement and resettlement land allocation, which prolongs the implementation time. In addition, some households have not agreed on the compensation and support plan, so the handover has not been possible, affecting the construction progress of important items, especially the 110kV line and transformer station.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Quynh Thien directed all levels, sectors and localities to continue to review and promptly resolve difficulties, ensure compensation payment, site clearance, and resettlement support for affected households in accordance with regulations in a public and transparent manner. At the same time, he requested local authorities to pay attention to the lives and livelihoods of people in the project area, promptly resolve legitimate petitions in accordance with regulations to create consensus for investors to implement the project on schedule.
