Focus on implementing well the policies on social insurance and health insurance

According to the report of the provincial Social Insurance: By the end of June 2025, the whole province had nearly 519 thousand people participating in compulsory social insurance, reaching a rate of over 96%; 78,586 people participating in voluntary social insurance, reaching a rate of over 66%; 499,312 people participating in unemployment insurance (UI), reaching a rate of over 96.4%; nearly 2.8 million people participating in health insurance, reaching 93.6% of the plan assigned by Vietnam Social Insurance. Total revenue from social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance in the first 6 months of 2025 reached 7,792 billion VND, an increase of 20.1% over the same period in 2024, reaching 51.4% of the annual plan.

Along with that, the provincial Social Insurance has done a good job of resolving and paying benefits for social insurance and unemployment insurance beneficiaries and paying for medical examination and treatment under health insurance. In the first 6 months of the year, it resolved benefits for 81,159 people receiving social insurance benefits; paid unemployment benefits to 6,270 people; and paid for over 2.2 million people receiving health insurance medical examination and treatment.

In the coming time, the provincial Social Insurance will proactively advise the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee to issue documents to lead and direct the effective implementation of policies on social insurance and health insurance; coordinate with relevant sectors to deploy and properly and fully implement the policies of the Party and the State, ensuring the rights of participants; strictly manage pensioners and monthly social insurance benefits; closely coordinate with the health sector in managing and effectively using the health insurance medical examination and treatment fund.

In his concluding remarks, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Nghiem acknowledged the efforts of the provincial Social Insurance in coordinating the timely implementation of social insurance and health insurance policies. To achieve the set goals, he suggested that in the coming time, the provincial Social Insurance should clearly assess the causes of difficulties, limitations, and obstacles, thereby proposing appropriate solutions. In the immediate future, the provincial Social Insurance should focus on reviewing groups of subjects that have not participated in order to propagate and mobilize people to participate in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance. The two sectors of social insurance and health insurance need to closely coordinate to effectively implement health insurance examination and treatment for people. At the same time, continue to advise the province to issue support mechanisms for vulnerable groups in society regarding social insurance and health insurance in order to contribute to the effective implementation of social security work in the area.
