Mr. Do Van Quoc shared: “This is a crossbred breed of chicken raised free-range, so the meat is firm and delicious. All of these chickens have been ordered by traders since the beginning of December. Compared to previous years, the price of chicken meat this year has increased somewhat, so farmers are very excited.”

Mr. Mai Huy Chuong - Vice Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Tam Thang Commune (Tam Ky City) said that taking advantage of the large garden land suitable for raising chickens, many households have raised chickens in large numbers to serve the Tet market. In the commune, there are currently 7 chicken farms with an average number of 5,000 - 7,000 chickens each, 10 farms with an average number of 2,000 - 3,000 chickens. To help people gain more knowledge in raising chickens, the Farmers' Association of the commune has also organized training courses on closed chicken raising, raising models using biological bedding for high economic efficiency. At the same time, it guides people on how to prevent, treat diseases and take care of livestock to ensure their development.

"The increased demand for chicken meat along with the purchase price starting to be higher than usual has helped farmers in Tam Thang commune feel more excited and confident about a successful farming season," said Mr. Chuong.
