TPO - Thang Long high-speed train was made by Vietnamese engineers and applied the latest technology. Thang Long high-speed train is called a super train with a total capacity of up to 1,017 passengers and a lot of goods.
Phu Quoc Express High-Speed Boat Joint Stock Company said that from March 9, the high-speed boat carrying 1,017 passengers named Thang Long will officially be put into use on the Vung Tau-Con Dao sea route.
According to the previous plan, Thang Long high-speed train will be put into use for the Ho Chi Minh City-Con Dao route from February 23, 2024. However, due to some procedures, Thang Long high-speed train will initially run on the Vung Tau-Con Dao route until the Ho Chi Minh City-Con Dao route procedures are completed.

Accordingly, for the Vung Tau-Con Dao route, the Thang Long high-speed boat will depart from Cau Da wharf (Vung Tau City) at 7:30 a.m. and arrive at Ben Dam port (Con Dao) after about 6 hours of travel.
In the opposite direction, the ship departs at 1:00 p.m. from Con Dao Passenger Port. Initially, Thang Long will have 3 trips per week from Vung Tau to Con Dao and vice versa. The trip from Vung Tau to Con Dao takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The return trip takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Ticket prices for passengers on the Thang Long ship are 790,000 - 950,000 VND/trip for general tickets, 1.2 million VND/trip for high-quality service tickets. Tickets for children, the disabled and the elderly range from 550,000 - 760,000 VND/trip. The above ticket prices do not include the fee for passengers using the Con Dao passenger port.

The train was built in Hai Phong, has a length of 77.46m, including 4 floors, of which 2 floors are for Eco cabins, 1 floor is for VIP cabins and the remaining floor has a space on the top floor reserved for relaxing coffee activities. Thang Long high-speed train is called a super train with a total capacity of up to 1,017 passengers and many goods.
Thang Long high-speed ship uses 3 Rolls-Royce MTU engines. This is a marine engine type that is considered the world's leading with a total capacity of 11,580 horsepower, meeting fuel-saving and environmentally friendly standards. The ship's hull is made of aluminum alloy imported from Italy, helping the ship reach speeds of up to 30 nautical miles/hour.

Mr. Vu Van Khuong, General Director of Phu Quoc Express High-speed Boat Joint Stock Company, said that the Thang Long high-speed boat is currently moving from Hai Phong to Vung Tau. According to the plan, the Thang Long boat will arrive in Vung Tau on March 7 and officially launch on March 8 at Cau Da wharf (Vung Tau city).
On the morning of March 9, the Thang Long high-speed train will officially have its first passenger trip to Con Dao. Currently, Phu Quoc Express has built a temporary plan to serve the Vung Tau - Con Dao route until the end of March 2024 before putting into operation the Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao sea route expected in April.
