Tay Ninh: 18 industrial clusters have centralized wastewater treatment systems

Functional sector inspects centralized wastewater treatment system

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tay Ninh province, the province currently has 23 industrial clusters (IPs) in operation. Of these, 18/18 IPs in operation have infrastructure investors who have completed the construction of centralized wastewater treatment systems, meeting the wastewater treatment needs of enterprises in the area.

There are 5 remaining industrial parks in operation but no infrastructure investors, and no centralized wastewater treatment systems have been built, including Duc Hoa Dong Industrial Park being renovated, Duc Hoa Ha Industrial Park being renovated, Ben Keo Industrial Park, Hoa Hoi Industrial Park and Ninh Dien Industrial Park.

Although there is no centralized wastewater treatment system, wastewater from production facilities in these 5 industrial parks is still treated on-site, ensuring compliance with the National Technical Regulation on Industrial Wastewater (QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT), column A, before being discharged into the general drainage system. This is the result of close coordination between production units and authorities in periodic inspection and supervision.

Currently, 11/23 industrial parks in the province have installed automatic and continuous wastewater monitoring systems, transmitting data directly to the Department of Agriculture and Environment for monitoring and supervision.

This system helps management agencies promptly detect unusual signs, quickly handle violations, and at the same time create transparency in business production activities.

Through monitoring results, most of the centralized wastewater treatment plants operate quite well, the quality of wastewater after treatment basically meets the standards before being discharged into the environment. The transmitted monitoring data reflects relatively accurately the current status of production and waste treatment at enterprises.

Tay Ninh province identifies synchronous investment in centralized wastewater treatment systems at all industrial parks as a key task in environmental protection in the coming period.

Authorities will continue to support and guide businesses to complete infrastructure, while strengthening inspection and supervision to ensure that all wastewater sources are treated to standards before being released into the environment, contributing to sustainable industrial development and pollution reduction./.
