Taylor Swift is having a huge weekend. Following the release of her new album, " The Life of a Showgirl ," the singer continues to dominate the North American box office with her special theatrical release, " The Official Release Party of a Showgirl ," which grossed approximately $33 million in just three days of limited release (October 3-5).

According to Exhibitor Relations, this is the second time Taylor Swift has reached the number 1 position at the box office, following the resounding success of “ The Eras Tour ” with an opening revenue of up to 93.2 million USD.

The Official Release Party of a Showgirl” is an 89-minute audiovisual experience that combines music videos, behind-the-scenes footage, and special features from Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.

“No other music artist in the world can do this,” said David A. Gross, an expert from Franchise Entertainment Research, noting that the film was only announced on September 19. If it continues to be shown, it could easily double its revenue.

According to NBC News, the film opens with the music video for the theme song “ The Fate of Ophelia.” Taylor Swift takes the audience into the world of famous dancers and artists, recreating three artistic periods, depicting the glories, shortcomings and challenges of each era.

From poetic, pre-Raphaelite images that evoke a melancholy and enchanting beauty, Taylor Swift continues to lead viewers to the splendor and glamour of the Busby Berkeley era - highlighted by elaborate choreography and vibrant visuals.

The journey ends in a classic, charming space imbued with the style of Marilyn Monroe - a symbol of beauty and mystery of the golden age of Hollywood.

In second place is the action film "One Battle After Another" by director Paul Thomas Anderson, with $11.1 million in its second weekend. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Bob Ferguson, a man once famous for making explosives, now struggling to be a single father in a dangerous spiral.

In third place was “The Smashing Machine,” a biopic about MMA legend Mark Kerr, played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Despite being critically acclaimed and receiving a 15-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival, the film grossed a modest $6 million.
