According to Tuoi Tre Online 's observations at some bookstores, supermarkets and toy stores in Ho Chi Minh City on Children's Day (June 1), trendy toy products such as blind boxes , blind boxes of all sizes, Lego building blocks... were prominently displayed in prime locations in the stores.

At the MyKingdom store located in Vincom Dong Khoi shopping center (District 1), the shopping atmosphere becomes more and more bustling as the evening progresses.

Little Nhat Linh (11 years old, living in District 3) happily shared that her mother gave her a gift of her choice because she achieved good academic results in the past school year.

"I've liked blind boxes for a long time. I've had a lot of fun watching unboxing clips online, and my friends at school have collected a lot, so I asked my mom to buy them for me," Linh said.

According to Ms. Nguyen Nhung - an employee at MyKingdom, the number of customers increased sharply from May 30, 2-3 times higher than usual and peaked on the main holiday. Many parents choose to buy gifts as a reward after the end-of-year exams, and at the same time want to give their children a meaningful, surprising gift.

According to Ms. Nhung, the "hot trend" this year is none other than blind bags and Lego sets. If blind bags are a new "rookie", Lego still maintains its position as a "national" toy when it is loved by both boys and girls, and is highly appreciated by parents for itseducational and intellectual development elements.

Lego prices range from several hundred thousand to several million VND, but on this occasion, many parents do not hesitate to spend a lot of money to buy their children large sets worth millions. Meanwhile, blind bags are cheaper, from 250,000 VND/box.

However, many parents consider carefully before buying.

"I only let my child choose an item under 500,000 VND. Children often get bored quickly and are afraid of buying it and then putting it away, wasting it," said Ms. Hong Nhung (Binh Thanh District).

Along with shopping, many parents choose to take their children to playgrounds and book streets so that children can both be entertained and choose their favorite gifts.

At Nguyen Van Binh Book Street (District 1), the atmosphere is bustling with hundreds of children eagerly walking with their parents, choosing books, and drawing pictures.

Grasping this need, many publishers such as Kim Dong, First News... launched a series of deep discount programs of up to 70%, from skill books, coloring books to newly released children's comics.

The booths are designed vividly, displaying thousands of book titles for children and parents to freely explore . Not only that, interactive activities such as coloring statues, taking pictures with cartoon characters... are also organized vibrantly.

Major supermarket chains such as Emart, Co.opmart, Aeon... are simultaneously offering deep discounts of up to 50% on a range of products for children: from toys, clothes, shoes to backpacks and books. This is also a "golden" opportunity for parents to buy necessary items for their children at preferential prices.
